We spent 5 nights in July in Hometel Suites as a couple. Overall the experience was Ok. Good price / quality ratio. The rooms and the hotel was impeccably clean on a daily basis. The members of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Downsides: the windows let in a lot of road noise, making it hard to sleep properly at times; location could be closer to public transportation (particularly the metro) but it's not that far off either - about 13m walking to the closet station but it will take you 1h to get to Santa Monica. Special mention to the lounge area : although small, it's extremely cosy and whoever sets the playlist has great taste in music.

Really great little place- stayed there for one night this weekend for a concert. Valet parking was convenient, the hotel is actually much nicer than I expected for the price on the inside, really nice modern looking hallways and room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was also a flat screen TV which was a nice surprise.The staff is really friendly and helpful, also was willing to extend our checkout time. Our stay went smoothly and with no conflict. My only complaint is that we couldn’t figure out how to get the AC to work- got really, really hot in the room. Opening the window helped a bit, luckily it isn’t too loud outside. Honestly, this is the best you can get for the price!

Positive: Location was good. Took bus downtown and even could walk back. Man working desk was super friendly. Negative: No coffee pot in room but there was free coffee near the lobby starting at 7 AM.
