Food was great! Enjoyed great time with the fam and staff was accommodating. Their salads and Pizzas are delicious! The Mediterranean is my fav all day! Getting you veggies in while enjoying a nice crust is the way to go! Also never thought spaghetti and meatballs could be so good! The sauce was amazing!! Great burrata, beets, and octopus 👍

Had a drink at the bar. Barely a hello from the hostess & bartender. Didn't eat the food after I saw this hanging on the wall. Just take it down already. Details matter. Hopefully they spend more time cleaning & training on proper food handling. They certainly don't care about first impressions, or final ones- a "thank you" would have been adequate on my way out.

Alvaro the bartender was terrible. I felt like he discriminated against me. I CLEARLY ordered a pizza, and 20 mins later he came back and acted like I never ordered it. I personally feel as though my business wasn’t welcome, and sadly I believe it was because of my race (African American). You guys may ACT like I’m crying wolf but I KNOW when someone is acting “different” towards me. It’s VERY disheartening because he was a fellow minority (Hispanic). Sadly to say the Hispanics in California are VERY prejudiced (in my experience). It’s like they try and be racist to Afro Americans as if it’s gonna get them a more favorable position with their Caucasian counterparts. I’m in no way blaming Caucasian people; however, there seems to be a severe “crab in the bucket mentality” when it comes to minorities in the Bay Area. I’m sorry I have to call this out, but I will NEVER bite my tongue when I encounter prejudice. I hope everyone reading this have a wonderful day and remember the “GOLDEN RULE!” Response to the owner (05/24/2022) Dear Boca ownership, I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my review. It was NEVER my intention to bring bad attention to your establishment; however, what I wrote was the honest truth from “MY” point of view. I understand that as the owner it’s your responsibility to defend your establishment, as well as your staff. At the same time to dismiss my review as me “crying wolf” simply because you don’t like/agree with what I said is dismissive. I looked directly in the bartenders eyes and ordered a pizza, with special toppings, and he clearly heard me because he asked was there anything else I wanted to add to the order, and I said no. There was NEVER any questions about ranch, so I don’t know where that came from. Furthermore, you wasn’t there, and to think your employee is just going to say “yes I gave poor service” is telling within itself. I think your establishment is nice and it seemed welcoming, which is why I decided to visit on my lunch break. Maybe it was a misunderstanding, but I felt strongly enough to share MY opinion of the situation, and you responded to my review and acted as if what I said was an impossibility SIMPLY because the bartender was a minority himself. I wish your business MUCH success and I have given you a new rating. Have a blessed day.

Braised Beef Pappradelle was the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. However, service was pretty slow, and my soup order arrived with nothing but a fork and knife to eat it. Poor service, but the food is worth the money
