We got lucky, in the ER for a minor with a dislocated knee injury. Our visit was just under four hours from start to finish. Everyone was very nice, patient and thorough with all of the information. With all of the important health concerns other folks were experiencing, we hated being there taking up space, but… also needed to be there. Thank you to all of the health care professionals who spend countless hours being there for all of us on a daily basis.

This is my second time using emergency room this time it was a really good is it in fairly quick so I am happy that I was out of there within a couple of hours. And all the staff were super nice. The hospital was very clean the only issue really I have with Mercy I think about it is the fact that they don’t have very much parking by the emergency room and that is kind of a hassle.

When I first arrived yesterday for my potential testicular rupture, I thought I would end up giving you guys 1 star. The first impression was very bad. Maria, the lady working at the front desk of the emergency room, was not friendly at ALL. I first heard to ask someone to leave the room, but she did not ask them nicely. It came off as very rude. So I thought I was in for a long day. I was in excruciating pain this whole time by the way. Then when it was my turn she wasn't very friendly either, poor communication, kept me waiting there without even acknowledging me. She acted as if I didn't even exist, as I sat in my wheelchair in agony. Later on she started being nicer. After that, EVERYONE else was very friendly, helpful, empathetic and really showed that they cared and wanted to help me. Maybe Maria just needs more training on how to greet people and speak to people in a friendly manner at all times. Even a big smile would've gone a long way. The doctors and nurses were great. It would've been nice if they had a water station there so people could easily get water while they wait (potentially for extended periods of time). The emergency room is too small but I won't dock them for it as the hospital was probably designed before there were 2.5 million people in the Sacramento area. Overall it was a good place. My TRUE rating is 4.2 stars. Just please help Maria get trained properly. Train her to not ignore patients. Train her to smile more. Train her to speak to people in a nicer tone. I am not trying to get her fired, but she certainly needs some help so PLEASE help her. Everyone will be happier because of it. And if I ever need to go back and she is trained better next time I will change my 4 stars to 5 stars. Sincerely, Jordan

Every staff member I encountered was attentive, courteous, and professional. Staff gets five stars. "Staffing" on the other hand needs some attention. On the day and time I was there the front desk had one person working. This poor woman was doing her best, and still doing so with patience and courtesy, while the line to check in was out the door and down the sidewalk. I understand that hospitals and care centers are mandated to follow C19 protocols that slow things down but this can be alleviated by having more staff on hand as a solution. This wasn't a single doctor's office with one person at the front desk. This was the admittance desk for the entire hospital, patients, and visitors alike. I was instructed to arrive at 12:15; I was there at 12:10. I finally got to my appointment around 12:45.

John, Thank you for your inquiry. We are starting our patient vaccination efforts this week, beginning with pilot vaccine clinics at Mercy San Juan and Methodist hospitals. We are beginning with patients 75 years old and older this week at two of our Sacramento area Dignity Health hospitals, focusing on those with medical conditions putting them at high risk for COVID complications. If you are a Mercy Medical Group patient, we will be reaching out directly to you so there is no action needed from you. Please do allow some time for that outreach (by phone or email) as you can imagine we have a number of patients to call on. We are committed to vaccinating as many people as efficiently as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this new and complex endeavor. Take care.
I'll take my chances. Don't do (Flu-shots) either!
Hi Wanda, if you need assistance locating our vending machines our staff at the hospital would be more than happy to assist you.
Call the hospital
Hi Mary, I don't have access to wait times here, but you can call (916) 537-5000 and ask for the ER. If you are in severe pain, we suggest you go in to get checked.
It is not my hospital. I am one who is working there. If you sick? Come over.
Hi Mariana, We suggest you contact your dentist about cavity pain.
None No one allowed only if patient is staying and then only when they go into a room on the floors
I know one time I was having a hip replacement and did not have insurance, they still went ahead and did the surgery. I also understand that it depends if it's an emergent or elective surgery depends if they will do it with or without insurance
Hi Kandey, Thank you for reaching out. To confirm, Mercy San Juan does accept Molina Healthcare insurance. We recommend you contact Camellia Women’s Health to identify a possible obstetrician.
Yes the front desk can help you, and you drive down in the circle and park tell you get your grama in a wheelchair. Then go put the car away.
Hi Elayne, Are you a Mercy Medical Group patient? If so, please read the information on this page: https://www.dignityhealth.org/sacramento/medical-group/mercy-medical-group
Hello Chris, Thank you for reaching out. Right now our process is as follows, if you have a Mercy Medical Group primary care physician, your doctor’s office will reach out to you when you become eligible for the vaccine, in accordance with local and state guidelines, and when we have the adequate volume of doses. We are currently reaching out to those 65 and older. We kindly ask for your patience as we move through this new process and in the meantime, you can continue to check in for updates here: https://dignityhlth.org/3p2F9fL Thank you!
Hello, Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, Due to HIPPA privacy laws we’re not able to provide any patient information.
Hi Samantha, We got your Google review and will respond with an email for you to share your feedback. Thanks!
It is one support person total, whether that is the husband/partner/support person/friend, etc.
I would just Google and look at the reviews quick.
Who is this, I'm not quite sure who is in room 4244
Hi Novella! Go to www.dignityhealthcareers.org and then click Search Jobs in the upper right corner of the page. Choose Dignity Health, then scroll down to fill in the other fields to narrow things down. If you are looking for a job with Mercy Medical Group vs. the hospital, choose Dignity Health Medical Foundation in the dropdown for locations. I can see there is a medical assistant job there, I'm not sure what type of job you are looking for? Good luck! Here is the medical assistant listing in the off-chance you are interested in that position. https://careers-dignityhealth.icims.com/jobs/118940/medical-assistant/job
Hi Melissa, You can also reach the medical records department at 916-854-2000. Thank you, JP Dignity Health
Hi Anthony, Here is some info for you: https://www.dignityhealth.org/sacramento/patients-and-visitors/for-visitors/mercy-sj-visiting-hours-and-guidelines
I don't know. But if its possible, just move it to the parking garage at the other end and there shouldn't be a problem.
It honestly ( mostly) depends on how the patient explains their situation. You must remember how many people are seen with not so real issues just to get pain meds. Be calm and look into the dr's eyes. Explain in detail how your feeling
Copy and paste link below if you are referring to a labor epidural; yes they do. However, if for a spine epidural, below. I added a link that should provide more information. https://www.dignityhealth.org/sacramento/services/neurological-care/clinical-expertise/spine-conditions/spine-center-of-excellence
If you go to ANY ER, they have to see you no matter what. Insurance or not...just apply for medi-cal asap after the visit for coverage
They should be able to assist with information on facilities that have what your looking for
Yes, difinetly. My mother did it every time my father was in the hospital. You can help the staff by dealing with little things (adjusting a pillow or getting water) and they seem to do a better job knowing someone is watching. It also helps when staff has to explain what's going on.
I believe so,
I don't believe so however they are wonderful at keeping you informed, ANY time you call
I had migrants for years. Use Nasalcrom 4X daily for 6 Full weeks. Problem solved. Allergic to histamines, nasal ctom worked for me. When I stop using it I get a migraine. Mine put me to bed, total quietness, total darkness & I sometimes fall asleep.
I am not sure but being massive migraine sufferer i had to go to ER thru my HMO for multiple migraine episodes till finally got dr. to send me to neurologist. This helped get a diagnosis on record so i was able to be prescribed migraine meds. I have tried almost everything out there for migraines and I have had the most help with imitrex which also is available in injection non narcotic. Ice is my go too as well. I would vomit so have zofran, anti nausea as well. They should be able to offer you this in lieu of demoral or morphine which only puts u down for couple days . I always had recurrent migraine after. If you were treated previously I would request copy of my records ; then take to the records dept. Scan prior to your appointment then he/she Dr. will have them when you go and I would request appointment or referral to neurologist if havent been, as something, In truth I believe why they recommended ER to rule out brain tumors and other more serious issues.
Thanks for the answer. I need the direct number, anyone knows?
I personally don't have a fax number, I suppose you can search out Mercy San Juan in the white pages online
I think its mostly up to the doctor and what he feels is a safe number and will not cause any problems or get in the way of him/her doing their job, and making sure that there will not be an issue if a problem were to arise. But trust me, when it comes to ur birthing, dont leave anything up in the air and dont ever be afraid to ask questions or let ur desires be heard. U want to look back with sweet feelings of nostalgia, not discontent. U would be surprised at what u have control over when it comes to ur birthing, from clothes to visitors to birthing positions to music. So talk to ur doctor. And if they seem irritated with ur wishes or make u feel like u dont have a say in how things go, then maybe they arent the right doctor for u. Oh and typically a few hours after birth u will move into a shared room yes, but they do try to avoid roomates if possible. I only had a roomate for like half a day. And if there is something u need handled more privately just let them kno.
Yes!
