I have hiked parts of the trail but never the whole loop at one time until today. It isa great loop to hike. It even has a hidden waterfall right off the trail maybe 20 feet. Not sure if it is a seasonal waterfall as it rains or permanent . the trail runs by the creek for half the hike. Then back country for the rest. A brief portion runs right by the blue ridge parkway. A wonderful hike.

Convenient 20ish space parking lot with toilets available. Easy access to multiple overflow parking spaces, also. Numerous trails are easy to access including connections to the NC Arboretum, MST, and BRP.

fun hike. very pleasant and good to walk around. hike is pretty easy. if it rained recently, you need some good shoes as trails do get muddy. but a great hike with nice views. great during fall to see all the lovely colors! good for dogs and bikes
