This place just plain sucks. My truck had less than 1/8 tank of gas and then they switched out for a truck with 1/4 tank of gas. I returned it at a higher level but I was still charged a 7 GAL fuel sur-charge at $40. I attempted to contact U-Haul Chatsworth and nobody picked up the phone. Don't waste your time getting a rental from this facility.

This was my 3rd time using U-Haul for a move this week. I used this location last weekend and was going to use it today as well. Last weekend I used my Debit/Credit card at this location without any problem. 2 different people were there today and refused to use my card, even though it was used last weekend at this location. I choose not to use credit cards. It doesn’t mean I can’t get one, it means I choose not to go into debt. It was humiliating and frustrating to be told my card was not accepted by them, especially since it was perfectly acceptable last weekend. I will not be using this U-Haul location again. In fact, I will probably never use U-Haul again.

This is the 2nd reservation not honored by U-Haul after driving from Woodland Hills to Agoura where my 1st reservation for 8am was but no one was there to install. I never recieved an email and the reservation in the U-Haul system was never cancelled. I called the Simi Valley U-Haul and got the same person that made the 1st reservation. He then made a reservation for 9:00am this same morning in Chatsworth a half hours drive in the opposite direction. When I got to Chatsworth the manager told me there is no one to do the install there today and there will not be any install people at any U-Haul that does installs today. I called the same Simi Valley U-Haul number which took several attempts and several several minutes to get through) now I am told there never was anyone available at Chatsworth ,but there is someone even further away at Northridge. I asked for a guarentee that someone is there to do the work. I ask for them to call Northridge to make sure someone is there to do the work and was told they can't do that. I was told to call myself so I would have a guarantee someone would be there after being burned by U-Haul twice already. I attempted and called Northridge several times with no answer. I was not about to drive further away from home 2 hours after my 1st reservation and still on the road without speaking with someone at the location because I was already burned twice when I got to the locations that I had reservations at. 🤯🤢🤮🤬
