First time in LA for a 4 day work trip, a block before we got to the hotel we noticed some construction on a Friday afternoon and one side of the street was blocked so we had to go the other direction, other than that check in was fine, staffers was friendly we had free parking and elevator worked fine. Our hotel room was clean, you get free breakfast, pool ,gym and a shop as well. No construction on the weekend. The streets around the hotel have homeless and street vendors which is nice to grab a quick bite if your into street food. People actively walking throughout the day/night nothing the hotel can control regarding homelessness and noise. Downtown is about 10 minutes away and convenient driving to other areas. On Monday woke up to construction noise on a building next to our window so if you want to sleep in either get a room in an opposite side of the construction or book another hotel or book during the weekend.

Pretty much 10 minutes away from downtown. Staff were friendly and breakfast was wonderful. Plenty of homeless nearby, but didnt bother us much. We liked the fact that there were lots of street-vendor events later in the evening (like a 3-minute walk away from hotel), we walked around and enjoyed all the food/atmosphere! One advice though: plenty of parking, but space is limited. We came very late one night and there was only the compact space available for a large SUV.

Stayed here March 1 2022..I chose this hotel because I wanted a name I could trust and not the other hotels my son was pulling up in the area only to get here and have NO hot water in the sink and the shower. I alerted the front desk she said she would let maintenance know.. we never saw them..upon checking out she said “things happen”..and I already paid through a third-party so have a good day.. i’m thinking she could’ve at least offered some sort of refund or discount towards hopefully a future stay or she could have tried to fix this I don’t know why she didn’t see the bigger picture I’m really not into taking cold showers nor was my son but we had to think it was better than nothing.. It’s unfortunate to me because I literally went extra miles to stay here because I told him to pull A holiday inn up because I wanted to stay at a brand hotel I trusted.. She could’ve showed empathy and offered something towards our inconvenience and she did not.. I ended up calling Expedia and letting them know what happened they contacted the hotel and the hotel offered us just a $50 refund back on my card.. not good business at all.. The hotel is very old-fashioned plain and Air conditioner unit was very old and not connected to the wall properly.. The breakfast set up was nice that’s about it! I would not stay here again at all and for what it’s worth Hopefully you don’t mind taking cold showers..

Considering the location of this property, I'd consider this a hidden gem. If you're not familiar with the area, the blocks around this place may seem daunting. Given that my visit is still amidst the pandemic and I was traveling with someone with heightened health concerns, I walk away truly impressed by the property's cleanliness and sanitation practices. I was impressed that the security was very alert and the staff were all very friendly. I plan to be back in a few weeks and hope to stay here again. This will definitely be my go to spot when I need to return to LA.

$15 per night and it's covered parking, under the building.
We just rented room for 2 adults 2 teens this last weekend fir stay while visiting Universal and my son in LA.. Ran $154 a night wirh military discount. Clean. On edge of downtown LA. We didn't walk anywhere . Although driving in and out saw some sketchy people hanging out on Wilshire.
