I was one of the residents living here last year. It has been over 2 months since I left the apartment, and my security deposit has still not been mailed to me. They haven't returned my email for over 2 weeks now regarding this issue, and it is super difficult to get a hold of them over the phone. Also, their statements about rent, parking, and security deposit-applied charges are very difficult to understand. I do not recommend living here if you do not want to have issues with these matters.

I was quite shocked by how long the building management has neglected the cleanliness of the pool. The build up of the green scum clearly is a telltale sign that there is a lack of regular maintenance of the pool. There were dirt particles floating in the pool as well. I am hoping that the building management is very much aware that poor pool maintenance can pose health dangers and as such will rectify this situation before anyone gets sick. Would have given a 5 star if not for this.

I have been very happy with the response time by the maintenance team here at Towson Avalon. Angel, Kevon, and Jose responded promptly to my concerns, fixed the problems and were extremely pleasant. The current people working in the front office also are pleasant and helpful as well. This is a new building at a wonderful location and I really enjoy living here. Really, my only criticisms involve a few fellow tenants who do not clean up after their pets have accidents, leave trash on the floor when using garbage chutes or drive through the garage at excessive speeds with radios blaring. Overall, living here has been a very positive experience.

We initially scheduled online and upon arrival we were given the options of a self-guided or guided tour and we selected self-guided. We were given thorough instructions including complex layouts, floor plan details, and pricing. We took about an hour, and looked at a variety of 1 and 2 bedrooms. Note, there are different "schemes" that provide a variation in countertop color, cabinet color, and lighting fixtures. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, some spaces felt way more open and bigger than the square-footage denoted, and the amenities were/are top-notch. We took a second self-guided tour and it was equally as convenient and painless as our first. We decided on a 1 bedroom, and we are VERY SATISFIED. Mariama was our primary contact and she is wonderful. The app process is online and was quick. Once approved (took about 24-36 hours), a thorough online move-in checklist takes you through all the required steps to ensure a smooth move-in day. The checklist goes through everything from utility switch-overs to reserving a docking/staging area for moving day. We are HAPPY to call Avalon Towson home!
