they reached into my account without authorization to charge me DOUBLE for a toll. But I have the toll pass and was charged there as well.... Now I will need to call them and waste time to get back $11.50. The same old scam type services that all these rental car companies do. Nickle and diming. So Alamo responded to the review --- with "please email us" --- I don't need to tell the peopel reading this, why that is wrong on so many levels. That is the point of the ONE Star review. You have set-up ways to cheat people. You charge $12 for a $6 toll. You reach into my account and unauthorized, steal my money. Then you want me to contact you to get it back ---- yeah ok ----- I have 1hr to write emails, and make calls for $12, no. Who does? You are cheating, Dirty. Company and then you send me an AUTOMATED email to get a review.... LOL... well now everyone can see the review enjoy!

Much easier than I expected renting a car from Alamo at Oakland Int’l Airport. The parking attendants are really friendly and helpful.

Had a great experience. Found a good rate online (better than SFO), and everyone I interacted with at the rental car center (counter agent, pickup person outside, drop-off person outside) was cheerful and friendly. The car I got was also even better than expected. Thanks Alamo!

Alamo aways has a great price and service is good. However, I can newer skip the counter line. I fill out all the paperwork, get the pass, and then discover that it doesn’t matter and I have to wait in the counter line. If they could fix that service issue, I’d give them five stars.

Take a shuttle
The airport skycaps will assist with a wheelchair to get him to the shuttle. Once there someone at the shuttle building will assist.

They have a night after hours drop box to return the car. Then take the shuttle bus to the terminal. The bus runs 24 hours between the car rental and terminal.
I usually park at the economy parking. Then I walk (or free shuttle) to the terminal to take a shuttle to the rental car building. Rental car place is not walkable from the airport.
Once you drop off the car, it seems there are buses every 5 to 10 minute. And it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to the terminals. There are gas station about a mile away. You need to plan well though, to get to the gas stations on the way. Some stations get crowded.
Alamo opens at 5:30am at the Oakland car rental center. But they do have a afterhours early car/key drop off. The shuttle bus runs 24 hours between the center and airport.
Cheapest days are Tue-Thurs. Become a member you get a discount every rental. Always check the last minute deals. Hopefully this helps you out.
There is a rental car return driveway at the entrance to the rental car facility it services all rental companies just follow the road until you see your rental company's name then enter the corresponding driveway.
