Harvey west Park is by far my favorite park there is a swimming pool that gives lessons( for a fee of course) there are plenty of places to relax. Have party's birthday, weddings whatever The redwood trees are beautiful and Amazing. The grounds are taken care of Beautifully. The park maintenance is very kind..lots of drinking fountains..it's always green and the grass is full and lush. There are 3 baseball fields at Harvey West. They are very well taken care of as well. There are almost always games going on..lots of picnic areas and hiking trails. Good restrooms. Usually very clean. There are outdoor sinks to wash your dishes or whatever after a bbq or a party.Decent parking. It's almost always easy to find a place to park. There are two different play grounds , one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. They have day camps for kids there. There is Soo much more I could go on and on..but that's enough for now! Go check it out .. you'll be glad you did 😁

Santa Cruz has many parks with natural beauty and stuff and those are great, but this park is pure function. It has all of the facilities that are expected of a large city park, like sports fields where little league and low level professional games are played, large picnic table areas that can be rented for parties, and a public pool. There are a few fun things to do that aren't connected to the facilities, like hiking in the Pogonip trails that connect to the back of the park and climbing on the old steam locomotive that says "no climbing", but if you're going here, it's probably because you have something scheduled here

Such a beautiful park. Greenery everywhere you look. It has so many nice features, from a playground to barbeque grills, a number of clubhouses, a baseball field complete with bleachers and a hot dog stand. There's the swimming pools too!! There's lots of picnic tables and open restrooms. And they've even added a bicycle dirt/ramp area for those who like a little bit more fun.

There is a large park maintenance building/facility where all the maintenance people and vehicles come and go from. It lets in between the two ball fields. I would check with them. If anything is found I would bet they found it

Ask the city parks and recreation Department. I've heard of it happening before but that was years ago

How do you reserve the unused picnic areas so we can BBQ some hot dogs for the family ? Apparently they won't let anyone use any tables or grills even if the park is not in use and now there are 7 4 yr olds in years .
