Amazing history lesson and really cool to see the money being processed. The gentleman working security was beyond friendly and gave a great intro to the museum. I learned so many things on this visit! Afterwards, they even gave us a little bag of shredded money.

So much fun! Had my 3yo and 6yo children with and they loved the coloring section, the photo ops, and leaving with a souvenir bag of shredded bills! It was a great experience and the staff and guards there were just the best!

You can't beat a free entrance. The museum is open during the weekdays and closed on the weekends and is currently only accepting those who have reserved their tickets online in advance (circa late 2021). It's a super small self guided tour that starts off with a Harry Truman coin collection. The exhibit next to it contains colorful and visual infographics on the history associated with money. After the exhibit, you can walk down a large hallway containing information that leads to a viewing area off limits to cameras. This area contains thick windows for tourists to view the actual processing and handling of money buy the federal reserve employees. Overall, it's a nice free thing to do that won't take up more than 30 minutes to an hour of your time. Enjoy.

I learned some things I never knew about our money. The most interesting exhibit was the coin collection, with coins going back to the birth of our nation. You even get some shredded money! You have to get tickets ahead of time because of Covid protocols, but it is a cool place to spend an hour or two.

No, they did not keep proof sets and coins on hand when I was there. Ytou can go to the US Mint's web set and order them. The web site is www.catalog.usmint.gov
Yes. There's a parking lot for the museum on the Northwest side of the building.
It's a museum to learn about trade, the economy and money usage. You can see money being counted and destroyed.
Probably not. The Money Museum is focused on US currency.
No public restrooms. Restrooms only for museum visitors.

It's free! You just have to go through airport-like security.
It is but one get one but you need to give surveys there in money museum
It was built on the site of the old St. Mary's Hospital.
The museum is not open on Saturdays.
Over 18 drivers license or passport
It depends on the size of the RV. If it's a fairly small one yes but a larger one may need to park at the park just north of the money muesuem.
What were you thinking of purchasing? The Treasury is more of a financial government service. The Money Museum has great currency related gifts and is located on the first floor of the Federal Reserve Bank, a private non-governmental financial business.
Any form of official photo ID will work. Driver's license or passport - either one should get you in!
