I'm biased because I love miniatures. I accidentally found this on Google Maps when planning a weekend in KC and I was delighted. The museum is in a great location, near other touristy stops. It is full of miniatures, well labeled, and nicely explained. It was active but not busy. I will return when I next visit KC. The toy portion of the museum wasn't labeled as well, but was still interesting - seeing toys from your childhood that have long been lost its fun no matter how old you are.

Great place to visit with children. Good toys collection and miniature homes and crafts. I was amazed by the intricate detailed work that reflect hard work of the craftsman.

Really cool experience, the whole thing was very well done and reminded me of the Smithsoniam exhibits. I especially liked the miniatures and doll houses, but the toy exhibits were better than I expected. They have a fun scavenger hunt activity. And an introductory film. The admission prices were already reasonable, but then we got a fantastic military discount. Parking was easy and there were numerous clean bathrooms. Great place.

This is such a fantastic museum, an absolute treasure! It is impossible to get through it in one visit, if you are traveling with kiddos or if you are poring over each and every item. We were fortunate enough to visit the last day of an exhibit on the Gender Divide in toys. We'll look at the Dollhouses next visit!

Yes. Very much so. Lots of seats and benches to sit at. Plus there is an elevator to get between the two floors.
I suggest that you call in for an appointment with the manager and get your collection up.
