Chelsea in the children's Learn and Play is one of the most amazing people I've met since we moved here. She greets us with a smile, is wonderful with the kids, and is such a reassuring presence that I have zero mom guilt about dropping the kids for a couple hours to do a workout and take a long shower. The facility is wonderful. Plenty of machines and space, very clean, highly friendly staff. The kids and I have lunch in their lounge area after every workout. 5 Stars all the way, and a big thank you to all the staff who work the Learn and Play!!

This is a great gym but my complaint is we are getting back to normal and with a number of gyms that permanently shut down, gyms are overcrowded all over. It's time to get your hours back to normal. They get two stars because it is a good facility with friendly staff but useless to my family as we can't get to the gym until the later evening. Open your hours up and we'll come back and I'll change my review to one you guys deserve. Response to gym- that all is good to hear. If and when those changes are made we'll most likely sign back up. But I feel these types of reviews are necessary to prod things in the right direction and provide community evidence of the need to make those changes. As I said, if these things change, my family would probably rejoin and I'm more than willing to update my review. So here is a vote to move to larger hours of operation quicker, I know there are many families waiting for this and that added revenue is stalled on awaiting those changes. Balls in your court.

Very frustrating. they close because we had an inch of snow. Roads were clear. No notice to members. This happens constantly. No posting to the website. Showed up and found the doors locked. Those that go early morning, careful not to drink caffeine before you go just in case they close because they’re too scared to drive on wet roads. On top of lack of closure notices, training staff, two trainers specifically, are the rudest, most entitled, yet insecure trainers I’ve ever encountered in my 12 years of training. If you happen to entered the giant multi purpose area even 15 minutes before they start training, be prepared to get kicked out. If you bring a friend who is new to workout out and just feels more comfortable going with a friend, they’ll think you’re training them and kick you out. If you are strong enough where you need multiple 45s for any lifts, leg press for example, I’d recommend going to another gym. This is just a planet fitness.

Beautiful facility. Plenty of workout machines and space. Love the recumbent bike. Comfortable & easy on the back. Friendly &courteous staff. Could use a couple StretchMates & a couple more high bars to do pull-ups.

They also have scholarships and financial assistence. Basically, they use a form of a sliding scale so its accessible to almost everyone.
Hi Jaye, We do have a small basketball court! You can see photos at ppymca.org/firstandmain.
Hi Sara, Thanks for reaching out! This YMCA location actually does not have a pool. Please let us know if you have any questions we can answer to help clear up the confusion. Thanks!
I think it starts at 6 weeks but up until 6 years old for the smaller kids and then 7 and up is kids club
Back in green turf area a punching bag. That's it. So bring your own gloves if you have them.
Hi Amy, Learn & Play (child watch) hours can be found on our website at https://ppymca.org/locations/east/first-main under the "Learn & Play" tab!
I was told no
They told me over the phone that they will not be open until summer.
