Called ahead to make sure they have the wood walking sticks that I’m looking for. The associate on the phone was very friendly and knowledgeable, knew off hand that, yes, indeed they have what I’m looking for! We head that way, the wood walking sticks are the first things you see when you walk in the store! However, I was like. Sensory overload!!! In the best way! RanchMart Ace Hardware is clearly doing their part to support local, small businesses as there are soaps, lotions, candles, napkins and all sorts of(non)must haves! I grabbed a greeting card and my walking stick and was checked out by the same super nice lady I spoke with on the phone. My total was around $46 so I gave her a $100 bill and she said that they can’t take $50’s or 100’s anymore because there has been an influx of counterfeit bills going around!!! No big deal for me but I was astonished that’s happening. Just too bad. Great experience at Ranch Mart Ace Hardware, though!!!

I shop here because they have cheaper prices than some other ace hardwares, but I'm trying to decide if that makes up for the bad customer service. I've been in there several times and the associates on the sales floor are usually pretty helpful when it comes to finding things, although their attitude could be a little more "How can I help you?" rather than "What do you want?". My main issue is with checkout. I'm not sure if she's a manager but I've been checked out by the same lady most times I've been there and she is always rude. There are always side conversations going on between the employees, which is okay in moderation, but not when you're ignoring a customer. I worked at an Ace for almost 5 years, I know how the store should function, and that's not it. I shouldn't have to stand there until you decide to pay attention to me, nor should I have to remind you that I'm standing there! I want to be able to enjoy my time at my local hardware store but anytime I leave this location I think to myself "What the hell was that?"
