Sometimes the right people are called to the right job. Saturday I was running errands and came home to find my dog was gone. Got under the fence. He had recently had a bath, and did not have his collar. I already had a call from Duane with Animal Control who had run his microchip (seriously, everyone microchip your dogs). I was on my way to pick up my baby. It really is appreciated when kind people are in the right place.

Very helpful when surrendering my mother in law's dogs after she passed

My husband adopted a senior Yorkie, Trixie, who was given up due to caretaker's illness . We were lucky enough to have seen Trixie's photo on Lee Summit Animal Control's website and quickly adopted her!! She is a joy and a companion for my husband and we are so very happy that she was given to us!! Thank you, Amber and staff, for taking care of her until she came to her Fur-ever home!

The staff are great and the puppies and other animals look like they are taken very good care of . I as with most volunteer opportunities they are short handed. Please if you have spare time volunteer at the Independence Animal rescue shelter. Go visit and adopt a fur baby

They are quite grumpy indeed. I just wonder who it is that mistreats them such that they feel they need to be so stern.
They do. They have open hours when anyone is welcome and they can set up times for court ordered work.
Either $10 or $110 depending if they're up to date on shots and are already spayed/neutered. Price for each pet is on the website with the pets info/pics.
You have to make an appointment plus be sure you look at pictures on their website. Before you call other wise you can't go in.
This is for asking other Google users questions. You should call animal control and ask them.
It depends on age and how long they have been there. I bought a cat they thought was 1 year old (we suspect she is 10 months) and she cost $90, she had only been there 5 days. So it depends, you have to go in and ask.
Posters given out or placed in the neighborhood might get attention. Maybe someone saw the dog taken. A small reward offered helps also otherwise people won't get involved. If you have a good picture of the pet.
You should call them as they can tell you what items they would need.
Yes, they do.
