GOOD MEXICAN FOOD IN SIMI?! Yes. Amazing. I'm half Mexican and grew up in the valley. Of all the Mexican places in Simi there was only one that I knew of that was good and one that was decent. UNTIL NOW. I just noticed this place. Man I've been missing out!!! I got the carne asada burrito, a chorizo taco, and an al pastor taco to try. All for $17. The burrito was SO GOOD! It just needed the red salsa on it that they give on the side. The chorizo was so flavorful! THEN the chips and salsa verde were SO GOOD. I don't even usually like salsa verde at all but this one has SO MUCH flavor, nice and roasty. I love the murals, decor, and music. It's so beautiful and tasteful. The man who I think is the owner was very nice. I can't wait to go back and try more things!!

Eaten here a few times while visiting the park next store. Located next to Duck Park in a small strip mall with plenty of parking. I usually come on Wednesday nights. Dine in is available with plenty of seating. The times I've visited their was plenty of seats available and little to no line to order. I've had a wet carnitas burrito, meat was good the red sauce was alittle too sweet for my taste. Asada Tacos Dorado, was good. Taquito was good. Shrimp taco was ok, out of everything this was my least favorite. Service was good and friendly. Overall I enjoy the experience at Taqueria El Maizal

Kinda of priceeee. I ordered a steak quesadilla, hardly in sour cream "some" shredded not even some guac to go it. Maybe because it was to go.

Favorite place to get Mexican in town. Owner was a worker here who bought out from previous owner, so you know he cares about the place and customers. You really feel like family when you come here. Ordering is simple, go up to the counter and then sit down and wait for your food to be brought to you. I almost always go for the whole fried fish. It's nice and smokey and not oily at all. You pull pieces off and eat with tortillas, rice, and beans. Will really fill you up. Don't worry about getting dirty and really get in there. And don't forget the softest part, the pieces behind the cheeks!
