Salsa made fresh daily in house, aguas frescas, corn tortillas that don’t fall apart while holding your taco in your hand. What more could you want? 3 tacos and an agua fresca for $11 left me feeling more than satisfied. El Maizal also offers a selection of beers if that’s what you’re looking for. I’m grateful to have found this place for a delicious, price-conscious lunch.

GOOD MEXICAN FOOD IN SIMI?! Yes. Amazing. I'm half Mexican and grew up in the valley. Of all the Mexican places in Simi there was only one that I knew of that was good and one that was decent. UNTIL NOW. I just noticed this place. Man I've been missing out!!! I got the carne asada burrito, a chorizo taco, and an al pastor taco to try. All for $17. The burrito was SO GOOD! It just needed the red salsa on it that they give on the side. The chorizo was so flavorful! THEN the chips and salsa verde were SO GOOD. I don't even usually like salsa verde at all but this one has SO MUCH flavor, nice and roasty. I love the murals, decor, and music. It's so beautiful and tasteful. The man who I think is the owner was very nice. I can't wait to go back and try more things!!

This Mexican Restaurant was good. I had a carne asada sope and an alpastor taco; both were good. The man whom took our order was very nice.
