Be prepared to wait an hour and a half to pick up meds. They have 2 out of 5 windows open. I feel bad for the older people that have to wait under the sun for this long. Also, it closes at 3 according to the website, not 4:30. EDIT: If possible, try to get your prescription filled at a local CVS. We have been doing that and the line goes pretty fast. You can see they have proper staffing (at least on the one we go to).

Pretty ballsy for only having one window open on a Monday. This “new process” isn’t working. Been standing in outside line for 1.5 hours now.

It’s noon and these older patients many of them veterans are waiting in this long line in the hot sun, in the middle of a pandemic. Some of them with medical conditions that could cause heat exhaustion. Why is this pharmacy not open longer hours? Weekends? Or at least put out some kind of tent!!! Unacceptable

Answer 10/14/'21. 1. Any medical doctors prescription is fillable if the pharmacy has the medicine a) in stock & b) on the formulary. At no cost. 2. Assuming the patient is or has a valid military sponsor with a valid military ID card. There are additional exceptions. But if you or your sponsor are allowed on Base everything else usually falls in place. THERE IS NO CO-PAY FOR MILITARY PHARMACIES. How do I know? I'm a retired Navy ATC and I've been getting my prescriptions here since 1977 on Civilian prescriptions. My average time in line is less than 15 min. Longest time was 1 hour 45 min. Shortest was 4 min. Age 83+ this year.
No, its closed Sat, Sun and federal holidays. The pharmacy at Balboa is open Sat from 0800-1800 and may be able to your script.
