Today we are celebrating 20 years of marriage with a new wedding band for me designed and made by Richard and Marsha to compliment the ring we bought from him for our wedding. It was exactly within our budget, beautiful and elegant beyond anything we could imagine. We have always received personal attention and kindness. When I accidentally threw my wedding ring and antique aquamarine ring into silver cleaner where they sat for over 24 hours, I ran to Marsha, crying my eyes out. She produced a miracle and restored both to brand new! We appreciate the expertise, quality and price of the jewelry at Richard Dolgin’s.

My fiancee and I highly recommend Richard Dolgin. From what my fiancee has told me, Richard made the process of creating my engagement ring easy and personal. It's a huge decision, and Richard provided helpful advice without adding any pressure. My interaction with Richard has been just as fantastic - he helped me select my dream wedding band with ease. I receive many compliments on my engagement ring, and I know our wedding bands will be no different! Thank you, Richard, for making this special time in our lives even better.

To say that we are happy with the ring that Richard Dolgin created for us, is quite an understatement. From the start to the finish of the project, Richard & his team were very helpful and knowledgeable about every aspect & detail of the process. Richard was able to take my sketch for a design and turn it into a CAD file that was used to make a beautiful and detailed platinum wedding band for myself. With his on time delivery and guidance every step of the way, I knew that we were working with a true professional who clearly understands customer service. Thank you, Richard, you are the best.

I wrote Richard an email after 13 years of marriage when we lost our engagement ring. He replied same day, tracked down the original creator, and found an exact copy of our original ring. Even after nine years line had been canceled. He helped me to select a replacement stone, and had the new ring ready for a surprise Christmas day reveal. We only own three pieces of real jewelry which my wife proudly wears daily. Richard has guided me education, purchase, and now replacement. He has my trust and I can easily recommend him. I can now say with direct experience his estimates are spot on, service is stellar, professional and reasonable. He seeks long term customers and I am honored to do business with him!

Questions & Answers

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

We want to avoid spreading COVID-19 and other illness, so we take precautions that will hopefully keep us safe. In addition to keeping a clean & sanitized office, we wear masks and social distance. Our office is by appointment only, which limits the number of patrons. Additionally, Marsha, I, and our families are vaccinated.

Do you buy jewelry? I have a custom made ring I bought for $900 dollars a few months ago, and I just don't like it on my finger. I would like to sell it. I also have a david yurman pendant necklace I want to sell. Thanks

Yes, I buy some fine gold, platinum, and diamond jewelry. In a scenario like this one, you should return to the jeweler where you purchased it and try to remake the ring you like. If you are against doing that, bring both the ring and Yurman necklace to me or E-mail me a photo, and I will tell you if I have interest. Thank you.

I would like to have something custom made for my mother. I have three gold bands that I would like to have melted down and incorporated into the piece as well. Do you do custom work? I'm thinking a necklace pendant kind of piece. Not too detailed

Cindy, We custom-make jewelry and most likely can make a beautiful pendant for your mother. You would need to email me and setup an appointment. Also, I should warn you that it can be difficult and usually not a good idea to reuse your gold bands in the piece; however, we can work out a trade. We can reuse most diamonds and gemstones though. Thank you Richard

I had you make a 5 heart shaped diamond anniversary band for my wife many many years ago. Looks as good today as it did back then. I now have a wedding band that is actually broke in two. Is this something you could size and put back together?

Yes, I assume the wedding band or ring is in gold or platinum, which we work on everyday. You would need to bring it in and have can get you an estimate for the repairs. Thank you.

Are all the diamonds you sell real?

Mark Robinson | Sep 4, 2018
Dolgin's Fine Jewelry | Sep 4, 2018

Yes, I sell natural diamonds mostly with certifications from either GIA and EGLUSA, which provides a 3rd independent verification that the diamonds I sell are real. On rare occasions, I will sell a cubic zirconia (CZ) but never suggest a client (or anyone) buy other diamond alternatives.

I have my grandmother’s gold band and I want to make a necklace out of it for my grand daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. How would you do it?

This question is difficult to answer without seeing the gold band. In the past, I have soldered bands on the a chain, which makes a circle station, and looks beautiful. However, if the gold band has diamonds or engraving, that may not be the best alternative.
