This was a first-time visit for this venue. Great location in the culture-rich 18th & Vine District, and a lovely, intimate theater. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the venue is well taken care of. We saw a string quartet performance of music by Queen and it was excellent. We will be looking for future performances at this venue. The only downside is parking can be hard to come by on a weekend.

It's so nice seeing the Gem theater restore I grew up here in Kansas City and now I'm looking at my granddaughter perform on the historical stage. It was a beautiful atmosphere, the place was packed and I look forward to going to many more events there

This is my 1st time here and it was absolutely wonderful. It was for Charles & Alkeesha Williams Wedding it was so beautifully heartfelt, and after the Wedding reception there was a play called, "For Better or For Worst" and THAT too was a show stopper!!! From 2pm to 10 pm was THE BEST time well spent! CONGRADULATIONS To the new couple, and very well done you two on the play!!!!

There is not a designated area though some events do have valet. You park anywhere in the area.
I googled the event, it shows him playing in At Dec 13. 30-160.
It's a place for plays and concerts. They also allow weddings as well. So, use your better judgment according to what's showing. Have fun!🤗🤗🤗
No. Sorry. There's bars all around that area. All corners, so you can grab a bite and have a cocktail.
I've never known there to be charge. There is Kwanzaa there tonight.
