We camped on the grounds instead of staying inside. They know you by name, leave you with a bucket of firewood under your table, you have access to the showers and they have some fun little trails. The dogs enjoyed exploring them.

Great campground. It’s super affordable and only an hour from DC so it makes for an easy weekend getaway. The lookout provides a beautiful view. The campground was quiet. We car camped but it’s located right on the AT so there were lots of Backpackers stopping for the evening. Glen was very friendly and super helpful. Wood is available onsite. Also a major benefit is the awesome Bear Chase Brewery located right across the street.

Great place to stop for a night when hiking the trail. Warm showers, plenty of beds, and room to relax and recover.
