Really nice campground. I arrived on a motorcycle to tent camp but they really don't cater to tents. Quick call to the owner/manager (I don't know which) and they allowed me to camp for the night. Beautiful area right on the river

This is a special place situated on the banks of the Shenandoah River and is great for camping of floating down the river on inner tubes. The gang here will chauffeur you up the river and provide an inner tube for you and your cooler. So bring your sunscreen and wear water shoes because the river bottom is mainly rock and some have sharp edges. Always a good time here.

The river was extremely shallow both times we have been but the weather was perfect. Such a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Beautiful scenery and the staff are very accommodating.Thank you so much! We hope to see you guys back again!

Yes
10 dollars for a night boy
No dirt bikes are allowed. It is a relaxing fun environment. Sorry
You could......but probably won't catch much. Too many kayaks, floaters, swimmers, etc.
You can also bring dogsπ
I was actually looking for a map to look at.
Open all year long
There you can enter and leave at any time.
The sites aren't across the river but there is a strip of land between Watermelon Park and the river. What I understand is that is private land. It is only large enough for a road and area for RVs. Oh, they can have tents as well. Watermelon does not allow tent camping. As a side note, there is a path to river. And having the private area is not a hindrance to the river or your stay. I encourage anyone to stay there, especially if you have children. It is a lovely place, sites are big and spaced out, clean, and people friendly. Also, do the tubing trip offered. It is so much fun.
You can swim, tube, fish, etc
We saw quite a few dogs down there π Definitely allowed at your site. There may be some areas of the park, that he's not allowed, I'm not 100%.
The signs up front say no tent camping allowed BUT I always see people out here in tents on the weekends
Yes, we didn't but we saw others did.

Camping was 10$ per person/night or 25$ for 3 nights. Kayak rental from 15$-35$ depends on lenght up river. I think inner-tube rental around 10$?
Yes they do for campers.
Site says November. Depending on thr weather.
You can grill there. It's best to bring your own
Not sure what time the campground closes the gate
Yes, they just have to be leashed.
It's usually around $20 dollars per person for the whole weekend. Bring your own tube. They're pretty inexpensive and you wont have to rent one.
No grills. You can bring your own though.
Those are all from past festivals. They haven't released the lineup for this year yet, usually about april or may.
Watermelon Park has no cabins.you can take your own tent or camper/rv they have hookups.
