Gave it a two because the atmosphere and food were good. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible due to the severe lack of service. You should expect a totally self-serve environment, ordering off a QR code on the table and receiving no help from anyone. It took 30 minutes before we got the beer that we self-ordered. Our appetizer came later but they didn't even bring plates with it and although we asked for them, the runner never came back - After 10 minutes I got up and got the plates myself from the wait station. We couldn't find anyone to bring us a check so had to use the self-checkout in order to leave after spending 2 hours to get/have a beer and salad. The self-checkout app wouldn't let us zero out the automatic tip so to add insult to injury we ended up paying a tip for service we didn't get. We are very patient with restaurants in the current environment, but this experience was simply unacceptable. As a local, I do not recommend Stone Brewery anymore. There are plenty of places that provide good food, beer AND service. No need to spend your money here for a terrible experience.

Come here whenever in San Diego for the great beers, but now they have us staying for the food; which is getting better. Automated menu driven by QR code, so it's a modern way to order. Wifi here is fast so use it. Tonight our waitress allowed us to order one of the new Quad's which has not made it to the menu yet. Great garden, open air beers and casual dining any day of the week!

I'm going to have to say that after patronizing Stone for more than 15 years, I finally had meal that I thoroughly enjoyed. Don't get me wrong, the food has always been good, it just never was my style. This menu is very appetizing, there were even other entrees that I wanted to try.In the past, it has always been very masculine, pub, meat, oriented. I always chose the least unappealing item. My female friends felt the same way, but our men liked it. So kudos on the more diverse menu (salads, ??). about time, thanks!

Possibly the most beautiful restaurant I've eaten at in San Diego. The patio is made to feel like you're enveloped in a forest, stone and bamboo abounds. Dog friendly! Our mini schnauzer loved all the attention and walking along the little creek path. All the food we ordered was on point tonight.
