I PERSONALLY WONT GO THERE FOR MENTAL HEALTH, THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE AN ANIMAL LIKE THEY DID TO ME. THEY HAVE VERY LOW KNOWLEDGE WHEN IT COMES TO PSYCHOLOGY AND AREN'T EXPERIENCED OR OPEN MINDED. ALSO ON TOP OF THAT PRESCRIBED ME MEDICATIONS THAT I DID NOT NEED TO TAKE. PLEASE CHOOSE WISLEY BEFORE COMING HERE BECAUSE I ALMOST LOST MY FOOT UNDER THE WRONG CARE

Behavioral Health technicians that work there are all young employees that are not educated on mental illness. Also, the night shift on duty asked me to put a towel between my legs when I was on my period because she didn't want to go get more pads. I had to ask her if she could get me some because it's not healthy/sanitary to put a towel in your underwear for periods. I literally had to tell a medical night shift employee this...staff acts like your inconvenience them because you need help and they have to get up, especially the night shift. No one who works here knows anything about the stigma of mental illness and how to speak to people in this mode. They tell you a lot to be happy by going for a walk. Also, 1 in every 4 employees has a smile on their face, the rest of them walk right past you or talk to you in public in front of other patients violated your HIPAA rights and the law. They assume because you're in a bad mental state that you won't notice. They ask you private information in front of all the other clients. the nurse and psychiatrist we're the only helpful, educated people. Everyone else there looks at you like you did something wrong for wanting to get help.

To start off with, these professionals are liars (they do not tell the patient the truth), and they are lazy. Dr. Rivas as my doctor and she never seemed to be in an good mood. She speaks Spanish & Enlish. This facility does not help patients, they provide them with medication instead - THEY DO NOT HELP PEOPLE. Their treatment should not be like clockwork , but a beauty of humanism. This is what they lack. The only reason this facility THINKS it is doing a good job is because of their meal program (breakfast, lunch, & dinner) which is very sad. WOULD NEVE RECOMMED. This facility is not Miami quality or University of Miami quality. What this facility does not know, is not everyone that goes there has a mental problem and it is okay to walk out without being prescribed anything. The best employees noticed their are the group coordinators who humble themselves everyday to make other people feel happy, sick people that is. Omar E.

Was picking someone up but wanted to share . Very tricky to find entrance as gps do NOT take you to ER. I was going in circles for over 15 minutes to find this place. The area is very sketchy at night and you have to park in the grass, no parking spots. Door has to be opened by a guard and it was rainy and it appears they do not have door mats as they were using regular towels for people to clean their feet and not wet the floor. They only allow a guest if the patient is a minor because of covid. I was told the actual hospital has alarms going off constantly and it feels like a jail. We live in Miami and they rudely stated they did not speak Spanish and said “English only”. I understand this is a hospital to treat mental illness but maybe a few pictures or posters would make patients smile and cheer them up. Please consider hiring some that can translate in Spanish and try your best to make patients smile. Everyone deserves to be treated well! Entrance is right in front of an apartment building and has a roundabout fairly close. Attaching a photo of entrance sign.
