My car was struggling to start. I called Thursday morning shortly after 8 and Bruce said to bring it in. They looked at it right away, diagnosed it in a couple hours and called me saying the battery needed to be replaced. It was done by 1pm and cost just under $300. Considering the cost of batteries and labor I think it was a fair expense. I'm just happy they took care of it so quickly, another place I called said they were booked till next Wednesday.

Great job! I am new to San Diego and needed A LOT of work done on my 93 Toyota 80 series Land Cruiser. I was referred to La Mesa Auto by a competing mechanic who couldn't do the job. I took my truck there a week ago and got it back today...and it drove like a dream!! She hasn't fired up like that in years! I highly recommend La Mesa Auto for your vehicle

Courteous and straight forward service. I was sent here on a recommendation of a fellow RVer. and most of the time get overcharged. This place mainly works on cars but did for me what other RV repair places said they couldn't and at a very surprising fair price. I thought it would take a whole day and it only took 1/2 hour. Any negative reviews of this place I think may very well have been unfounded and unfair. Five stars in my book!!!!

We have given this place a lot of business. Just had a smog check on our car and it failed. We are currently a 1 income family and someone mentioned to me about CAP (Consumer Assistance Program). I called and asked Bruce if he knew about it and he said yea I have it posted in my shop. Unfortunately I wished he would have said something to us so we could have applied and maybe gotten some relief on our $300+ bill. He just said to me, "oh well its a done deal now" and I just said thanks a lot. You know sometimes, it would be really beneficial, if people would just go out of their way to try and help. You know that "Go Beyond" customer service. It doesn't cost them a dime to do that, but I will tell you, you surely would get some benefits for doing so. Free advertisement, word of mouth, more business etc. Needless to say we wont be going back. Didn't really care for his response and believe me, we just paid him over $2000 for repairs to this same car. I also want to state, I don't know about you, but I don't go in to places and have time to read everything they have posted in their facility, so for him to not have said anything about the program was just very disappointing. Plus one more thing, he went ahead and did the work without calling us for approval.

Hello! I am the shop owner and yes, we can definitely help you. We would just need you to drop the vehicle off or at least a day so we can start the diagnostics. This week is ok but we are not open weekends so earlier in the week the better.
If you get the buy one get one magazine we have one in there. Or you may be able to find one online. The coupon only applies to cars or light trucks 2000 and newer. That are all original, regular gas no diesel and have no aftermarket parts. An appointment and your DMV paperwork is required! Hope this helps :)
We do work on pretty much every kind of vehicle. We have had a lot of Porches in over the years and have been very successful with repairs.
