This place is always busy when we’ve been in town, but today we decided to finally try it out. We were there at 12:10 PM and the line was short. We ordered the Cesar salad, Cubano and a tart. The food was okay. The chicken on my salad was dry as a bone though. The prices weren’t bad. The only thing I didn’t care for is the workers who cleaned up under the table as we ate, got too close to our space and made us shuffle our feet around. It felt awkward and we didn’t like how close they got while we were trying to enjoy our meal.

Wonderful 5 star bakery. Everything was delicious and fresh. The fresh squeezed oj, coffee, sandwiches and pastries were top notch. Highly, highly recommend this bakery. Prices are reasonable also. It is definitely worth the visit!! One of the best bakeries I’ve been to. We were only planning to go only one day, but went back again the next day!

I literally can't say enough good things about this place!!! The absolute best cheese rolls and pastries in LA!!! The line is soooo worth the wait. When you go, be prepared to hang out in the line and wait for a bit. I promise you it is worth it. Order two cheese rolls per person...INCREDIBLE. Their empanadas are also incredible. When my family came to visit us in LA, I told them to try this place out. They went every single day after that!! They loved the sandwiches and the pastries so much! Definitely an incredible staple of Los Angeles!

Porto's has to be three stars here is why. They are bad at customer service. Went today 03.13.22 ordered for dine in. They put our order for takeout. We told them we wanted dine in again, they said they were too busy for dine in. After we order at least three inside tables are open, and there is almost no line, this is the least busy I have ever seen Porto's. We get our food and go to an outside table, there are no chips with the three sandwiches we ordered. I ask one worker, can we get some chips, she says, "you ordered take out, no chips," I tell her no you made us do take out, can we get some chips. She says she will go get some. 5 minutes later no chips. We ask a second worker, same conversation, no chips ever come. We finish our food, a third worker, we ask for chips. Same conversation... The third worker says they will get us chips while rolling her eyes. We finally get a few chips, everyone is happy. And that is how Porto's is always some stupid issue, (tap to pay not working, no juice ever showing up, wrong items, etc...) and when you ask for a correction they have a bad attitude. Another issue this visit. I go to place my credit in the chip reader and the worker says, do tap to pay, so I tap the card, it doesn't work, so I try again to insert the card, but the worker cancels the transaction and tells us we have to go to another register to pay. New register, the worker says use tap to pay, it doesn't work... Another worker inserts the card into the chip reader, like I had been trying to do since the beginning. It works... Miracles. The food is all decent but average, but the price is not bad, the OJ is overpriced but tastes good. The cakes and treats are excellent. When you take the average to above average food, and the below average workers, you get there stars.

It's a very close knit owned family business and very protective of not just their products but their work ethic. They're very conservative with expansion but you never know..
It's a very good idea, I wish they put one in Santa Clarita
I agree that those areas could be prime location to open bakery.
Yes, I was told there would be one in Northridge in about 18 months
Yes. Also I would recommend trying their bake at home option. They have potato balls you can bake at home or cookies and chocolate croissant twists for when you don't feel like commuting.
No! That place is hell noisy and overcrowded
Yes ... there will be ... holidays ... of course ... with schedules ... it is best to call..to know the schedules .. .
That is the best question here Victor!
A Portos anywhere would be excellent...and fattening!
For cakes you don't have to wait in line. Just tell them you go for cakes
Online order with curb side pick. You can even place order in front of store and wait for you order.
They do not deliver ... And their cakes are delicious ... but if you have to call for a fruit cake about two days before, otherwise only what they have in the display case is what they have available ...
Ask when you go and that will let you know.
Ordering pickup is easy but you have to pay inside, but you can skip the line by going to the cake order
25 dlls
Yes, sometimes it's hard to find parking if you want to park close.
Your best bet is to go in person if you want the full.menu. I know a lot of places have trimmed down their menus on a lot of delivery platforms.
Yes they are
I assume you politely ask a Portos employee your concern and I am certain they will provide you an answer. Don't forget to smile when you ask.
A week earlier to be on the safe side
Call them. They should be able to help you.
I was told you can place an order the day before the actual pickup date after 9am. So if it's next Saturday ... put in your order on Friday after 9am
Yes
The 3 milk cake is the best. You made a good decision ... it's tasty
They have all the hours on the website
In the oven 350 for 10 mins or until warm throughout
Porto's it's busy from opening to closing time. There are always lines but they are moving really fast.
No. Pick up only
I think so
I never tried
Unfortunately not
For 20 , but if you cut small pieces a little more like for 25-28 people. I did and I had 27 people in the party and still had a small piece left. I also had some Jello to give a piece on the side with cake.
The only problem it's to find a table that's why it's good be early
Can anyone tell us the name of the coffee shop.
I've let them go about a week but they're just as good as day 1 if you refrigerate and toast when you're ready to eat.
You can order by phone. Im not familiar with their online ordering.
About 30-40 minutes. The line is usually long sometimes out the door.
They are not closed
5am 4pm
I'm certain when it comes to wedding cakes for delivery and set up, however you'd have to inquire directly regarding other items.
They said they have it seasonal. 'Maybe at the end of October, you should ask a Supervisor'. They have really cute Dia de los Muertas cookies though ). Dont speak Spanish and showed them my phone since I was there.....
None. You will have options to remove things you don't eat.
Potato balls are awesome on the side.
There's usually a line when they open but it thins out and they're really fast so it's not too bad!
Yes they carry those in many other types of cookies they have a huge pastry selection with a lot of cultural specialties
Hold your breath. Soon, no one will own a car. Uber, Lyft, and Tesla (if it survives) will drive people and drop them off. No parking will be needed, only the loading zones. Are you still holding your bresth? Well, hang in there because future is coming. In the interim, go get a media noche sandwich from Porto's and share it with your best friend.
That's funny does portos deliver are you kidding me no way... They're not in it for us they're in it to make money...
They sell by the slice, then the next size is for 8 to 10 people. Then you may request larger. I would call to get correct information and timing. They also have a friendly easy Web site.
I read on the Santa Clarita Community Facebook page that people in the know say there will never be a Porto's in the Santa Clarita area. So I guess we have to get used to driving to Burbank. I've never been. I find lines and no parking off-putting.
these questions are not sent to the business by these means. you will need to contact them directly.
Porto's has opened up a new one last year in Buena Park near Knotts Berry Farm. If that helps.
They are closed according to their website
Hahaha nice. Yeah, I worked there for almost 3 years and we got soo busyyy sometimes that it was almost impossible not to make mistakes.
Within next Year they will be opening one in Covina. Haven't heard any where else yet. But yes they are expanding.
They have 4 locations in Glendale, Burbank, Downey and Buena Park
If of the size ke you need it
