We saw the sign language musical "Music Man". The venue was bright, modern, and comfortable. Sound quality was very good. The facilities were good, though they may need to rethink the refreshment area in order to move people through more quickly. One of our group had water dripping on them, but were able to be reseated. There is also an outdoor stage that we didn't know about. Had we known we might have worked it into our plans.

My first experience at Olney Theater for a show and what a show it was! Drag Queens! Would love to go back another time to see a play. The original theater seats were a little tight. But the history....if those walls could talk

Having worked in theater in tech, stage management, lighting & more, plus attending many Broadway shows in NYC along with many smaller venues, Olney is the equal of any of the top venues I've seen. (yes, really) The sets were actually AMAZING and the performances were top notch! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! 5 stars!

This is a pretty small theater, which means all seats are good seats. It's definitely not the same experience as seeing something in a large theater, but if you go with that expectation it's enjoyable. They could use better signage directing patrons to the right doors, so for your first time plan an extra minute or two to find your way around.

Tax I'd only important if you are donating to nonprofit.
Depends on the show. Call the box office for the run time of the show you'll see, but I agree it is better to eat beforehand.
Two hours with one another intermission

Once was on the mainstage (definitely go see sometime before closing date of March 17 -- excellent). Oil is playing on the small theater lab stage.
