This place was great. They definitely know their stuff and they have a huge selection of all types of bird stuff. Great job Feathered Friends

After visiting Petco, Petsmart, and Birdsmart with very disappointing results, we ended up here. Hands-down this is the best bird shop of all the places we visited. The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. The store is clean, well stocked, and the birds seem genuinely happy. The birds are kept in a large room, separate from the supplies. There's a limit to the number of customers who can go in the bird room at the same time, and all must sanitize their hands before entering. In the bird room, the birds are happily singing, talking, and playing. We were looking for parakeets and they have the best selection, with a wide age range and coloration. We ended up with the two gorgeous budgies in my photos. They were only $34.99 here, but are $39.99 at Petco, $49.99 at Petsmart (with limited or no selection), and a ridiculous $139.99 at Birdsmart. The gal who helped us (Alison) trimmed the birds' wings and nails. She said we have 1 week to return the birds for any reason, and a 1 year exchange policy (for store credit). They also provide wing & nail trimming free for the lifetime of the birds. They provide cool, shady underground parking. It was an all-around 5-star experience. My only regret is not coming here first.

They always have tons of bird toys to pick from and everytime I go I find new ones that weren't there before. I go about once a month to replace my bird's toys and always spend way more than I need to. They also have lots of different food options, including some that you can't find at regular big box stores like Petco. We got a 5 lb bag of their own, personal, food brand for, I want to say $7. The regular store brand ones were about $13 for 2lbs so it's nice to have the option to pick and choose. The employees are also very knowledgeable so anytime my husband and I have bird questions, they can answer them and as first time bird owners, we appreciate that.

Went in to have my African Grey's wings clipped and nails done. So much easier than doing it myself! Staff is always pleasant and knowledgeable about the birds.

How old are your parrots and what kind of parrots are they? I have a double yellow headed amazon parrot and he's 102yrs old
Do you guys still have cockatiels for adoption?
Call them
Friend this store has all the foods you are looking for
Our feathered friends for nails it's $8 and that's a hell of a better price then the vets, I don't know about wings cuz my amazon paret is 102 yrs and he's never had his wings cliped
There is a bird rescue organization in Alpine and a bird sanctuary on Jimmy Durante Drive just south of the fairgrounds in Del Mar. Otherwise Our Feathered Friends may know somewhere else.
Customers must wear a face mask and keep a six foot social distance between each other.
These guys are great... free nail and wing trimming for life if you purchase a bird from them. They had Rose Breasted Cockatoos when I was in there last week.
They had one, it was 19.99
I've been a customer since the first store opened on 30th St.. That must have been the early 80s
Sorry i dont work there.
There variety is always changing. You will have to call directly to get that info.
This store is great if you have birds!
Hi Kelley, call Featheres Friends, they will be able to help you 😁 they are absolutely the best when it comes to birds.
Very few are rescues. Most are need from breeders. Yes they have cockatiels.
most likely not since quaker parrots are illegal in california since they are an invasive species
I have not seen these parrots there, but you could phone them.
About $75 and above
Most of them, yes. There are usually 2-4 uncaged ambassadors on perches in the aviary room.
$7.00 for wings clipped and talians filed.
The last time I was there, they did not have English parakeets.
Last I checked they sold budgies, waxbills, and some canaries.
Call them they may know someone because they buy birds all the time
Not that I know of but you may be able to order them from them.
They hand raise several types of birds and usually have tame ones
Sale only there is a place in Del Mar Google it
I would contact them as prices will vary.
Well there is more than 1 store. You can also check out birdland. Located on Clairmont Mesa Blvd.
Not sure if they do, so sorry.
Why is everything 2 years ago..any current information? I once had a hyacinth macaw ..so I have a very large custom made cage...Any ideas as to what is available as far as possible pet?
They do buy but they resell. You might want to try the Reader but be. careful of anyone who is interested in a free bird
Their inventory changes, but they usually do You can always call them to make sure before heading out there. I have found them to be very helpful on the phone as well as in person.
