I stay here, the Salvation isn't really for you it's for the Staff. They take your money, take all your food stamps. Staff thinks they are the higher power but with out their clients they would not be in the position they are in. No Role models here. Certain staff doesn't like you to ring the door and they get mad at you if you press it, others come outside saying it's a teachable moment for you when you were told earlier don't press the button. You get jail style breakfast, no lunch & Dinner has good days and bad days. They have 4 rules printed on their kitchen wall and don't follow them but expect the clients to obey them. They want you to respect staff and not talk back while they take your money your supposed to save up to get you a car like I did at BHS or a room to rent or invest in your self so you won't be stuck in this situation. I'm financially saving them , the clients are financially saving the staff just to be disrespected.

A pretty awful experience. Social services (as such) run by "Christians" with 12th grade educations. A nightmarish facility that simply reinforces negative stereotypes of money obsessed people who have hogged the stage in modern America. This is work that should be done by a neutral agency, NOT a 19th century relic of the the gilded era in England. Horrid. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN AND LET THE CITY RUN IT. THE PEOPLE WHO RUN IT NOW ARE GUTTER. ADAM POE IS A FRAUD.

I stayed at The Army for 100 days. There are a lot of rules, but it helped teach me patience and self-discipline. They were understaffed but did the best they could. I met some great people while I was there.

Staff was impolite and short, not even slightly empathetic to my position. I simply want to know if he has checked in and I understand if they aren't allowed to tell me but they should be more understanding themselves and they should be apologetic and not just say NOPE NO NOPE WE CANT TELL YOU THAT
