I live in the panhandle of Florida, I really like to keep my purchases as local as I can. With Rex Fabrics website and Facebook page I thought I hit it big time. I had a chair that needed Sunbrella material for a reupholstery project. I made my purchase online and waited a couple of days for the tracking number. After two days and no indication of purchase, I made the first phone call to which I was passed off to three people in order to find out when my purchase was to be shipped out. I was told it was in the warehouse and it would be shipped out today with tracking. I waited for the email for this tracking number twenty-four hours, and no number. I called back and was passed off to two people this time. Finally, a very nice voiced lady said she had read the notes and it would be shipped out today and they would provide a tracking. The next morning I got the tracking number which indicated the purchase was going somewhere in California. Amazing I live in the panhandle and my purchase goes to Cali. I called again to bring this to the attention of Rex and another lady said their manager would call me back about the situation in about an hour. On a Saturday I don't sit by the phone waiting. After about thirty minutes I had finally had enough of bad business practices and call back. I got the same lady only to tell me again he would call back. I said, "you don't run a business that way with customers". Response was, "It's Saturday". Finally the General Manager Juan Marcano calls to tell me he is sorry but people make mistakes (yes I know that) and that he would gladly refund the total purchase. No other option was given like overnighting the same item. Personally, they may be good in their showroom, but purchasing online from Rex Fabrics needs to be avoided.
