We had so much fun here! I can't believe how many vendors were here...seemed like 200 to 300 diff vendors and was kinda overwhelming choosing what to eat! We finally decided on some bao buns, hot dog, cucumber salad, mango sticky rice and made fresh churros...all pretty good. Wanted to try more but the kids were getting restless. Only downsides, it's so crowded, you can barely move in some spots, and can't help bumping into people (some friendlier than others) and there's a lack of places to sit/stand to eat. Definitely recommend to experience this at least once!

Great experience for foodies as a majority of vendors catered to niche specialties. Great way to try a variety of food and drink at reasonable prices. Many people brought dogs and welcomed people to pet them upon request. Nice time to spend with family for dinner after a day at the beach.

Weekly event that sets the bar for other cities to emulate. Great atmosphere and location. Smoothly ran with a grand stand and multiple live music entertainment, merchandise and food vendors from around the world THIS IS A MUST SEE FOR VISITORS TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!

Because of COVID-19, today was the first day it open at normal hours n everyone was Happy to be back as you can see from the pix. But it was very crowded so if you don't like crowd, you should wait a little bit. Food were very good as usual. So go and check it out.

As of 24 June 2021, the Oceanside Sunset Market is open every Thursday from 17:00 to 21:00.
There are many different vendors with almost every taste of cuisine that you can imagine. There's soul food, India cuisine, steaks, Mexican, etc., etc...

There are two, market in the morning at 9am and the street fair at 5. However I have been out at the street fair around 3:30 or 4pm and most of the vendors were up and ready. Take cash, it's easier.

That's a very good question. The answer is nobody knows; it's random, even if you call them the people who answer the phone don't know either; it's already set up from the higher-ups who decide that.

You dont need tickets. Is it free for the public regardless of age. The only thing I could think of that you need to pay is the parking which costs 5 bucks. However, you can park on the side streets as well and thats free too, but I dont suggest because it can get too busy.
There's a building on Mission Ave in Oceanside. It's called Main Street Oceanside. You go there to rent a space. You have to provide your own booth. Kathy is who you talk to. She is never at Farmers market. Only at Sunset market. You can catch her at the Main Street Oceanside office on Mission Ave.
No. The Market is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas if it falls on a Thursday, and for inclement weather (Rain). They also closed it in 2017 during the Lilac Fire as smoke was an issue.
