Horrible Experience!!! The customer service at Avis Miami international airport was not the Avis customer service I’ve experienced in the past. They were rude including the manager at this location, and although I made my reservation a week in advance I was not treated with respect or equal based on my previous experience with Avis. I noticed the white customers that were there before me and came in after me was efficiently checked out and not at the counter over 30mins. There was a black couple with a young family that was running into trouble completing their reservation with this Avis location as well and stated they too we’re having some trouble completing their reservation. I felt like a criminal and not a customer and ultimately racially profiled and discriminated against because I was a single black female. The desk clerk was not friendly and she has a dismissive unpleasant demeanor toward myself and my family. I’ve always rented through Avis in town and out of town due to my corporate discount but this time was the worst experience. Customer service never told me that I needed to show my work badge when I arrive at the airport in order to keep the corporate discount, I didn’t get the 7 passenger Nissan truck on my reservation and the vehicle they gave me (Ford Explorer) was filthy inside and outside including dents and numbers written in white paint on the driver windshield. After spending nearly 2 hours with the front desk clerk and the manager I did not have time to go back and advise them of the vehicle condition and demand a clean new vehicle or to clean the current one. This experience has definitely put a bad taste in my mouth and I will use a different car rental company for my corporate discount because Avis is not the only company I can choose from and I thank God for that. #Avis #MiamiAirport

Great experience! I would book again because of Mark A. Williams! His hospitality is like no other and made us right at home!! Please give this man a raise like yesterday because there’s none like him! Keep him happy for continued business! & When I come back to Miami I am booking with Avis again JUST because of him!!! He’s a diamond and amazing asset to your team!!

Every time I land in Miami I rent my cars at Avis. Being an Avis preferred members gives me the chance to skip the lines at the counter and do directly downstairs to pick up my car. Anyway the staff I encountered so far were all very nice and helpful. On my last visit, a couple of weeks ago, my wife didn’t like the car and the guy at the counter was very helpful in finding another car that suited us. So overall experience was great. The car was perfectly cleaned and I was out of the airport in no time. Also the check out was fast.

I never thought Avis customer service and the cars they offer will end up becoming so bad compared to what they used to be. The bottom line is, don't rent here; your money is better off spent with a company that still holds up to its standards. The worst part is when they say "Luxury car," they are just tricking you into paying more and not offering you any options, the car they have listed is not even considered a "Luxury car". Lady at the counter couldn't be bothered, didn't even speak up, or made proper eye contact, seemed like she didn't really care. Even after accepting the fact and taking whatever car we were forced to take, we get inside the car and its filthy, was not cleaned properly, and had stains and marks from previous renters. There's trash left inside the car, there's no whiper fluid, and there's a huge sticky patch on the driver's side window as if the tint was removed and the glass never cleaned. We had to get the entire car sanitized and wiped down, and that's not what we are expecting to do after renting a car from Avis. Not safe, not acceptable, and not a way to treat customers; it's not even high season, and the counters were almost empty, so no excuse to give customers a nasty car and be okay with it.

I think you must add it at counter. You can download waves app for free on your smart phone. Waves app have gps and will give you directions for free. No need to pay more money.
Because this car rental place is an absolute disaster. Avis miami is a catastrophy
Hello, the same thing happened to me. And they still haven't returned my deposit. You must communicate to the contact telephone number and inform.
there are transport shelters that take you from the area of cars to the airport without cost
the last time I was there it had no GPS even for customers who had reservation in advance
If you have the QR code which is the quickpass express exit then no you just scan the QR code. You need to show your license when you are using the Avis preferred exit. And you need to show your license and rental contract as a regular renter
I didn't contract anything since everything was paid for a month ago. In fact, in the document that they sent me to return the car, it indicates that it was returned full and everything was ok. Why do they charge us more for Non pkg items At the counter we do not contract anything (we travel to the USA every year and rent vehicles frequently) It is an illegal charge for "Non pkg items" If you search the internet you will see that there are many people who have been deceived with this concept.
Those who attend are bilingual, if this is not the case you can ask them to attend you in Spanish, they will surely help you
Suriname driver's licenses allow you to drive in Florida as long as you are a tourist and a car that corresponds to the category of the license.
I also have to return my car at 4 AM in Avis, they told me to do it normally at the AVIS terminal at the Miami Airport
Yes, of course, you just have to incorporate him as the main or secondary driver in the registration or contract and bring his driver's license so that they register the document at the counter.
The prices change depending of the state and city. I recommend calling 1st Avis customer service, and then compare the prices with the Avis pick up facility(in your case MIA). That way you make sure they are both telling you the exactly price.
They can do it over the phone 📱
Top floor moving walkway to the AirTran drops you at the Car rental house
Yes, they're open 5am -1am they also have a drop off box
Hello, about 60 bucks
When u return the car on the 2nd level u will catch the escalator or elevator 2 the fourth level for any transportation arrangements.
Book on line, When you arrive you have to follow the signs to the car rentals area by taking the internal monorail. When you come out follow signs and you will come to the car rental company's place . To return follow the signs in the highway to the airport and it will take you to the drop off point and take the rail system back to where you started. Enjoy your trip
Access to Uber definitely. If there isn't a shuttle. Also a rail train from rental building to airport
I guess you claim the company
Just try www.Avis.con good luck !!!
So disappointed
You need to go to their website and search for your future car rental. Avis.com
I do not know I rented without that service.
It depends very much. I hired Toyota but because I have a friend card they upgraded to suv
I don't speak Spanish
Search sites like Priceline, Travelocity, Expedia etc picking up your car in Miami, and compare prices. It usually saves a lot of money!
Yes, but you have to notify it before signing the contract
The reservation is kept for 24 hours
They do accept debit cards for the card swipe at airport locations
There can be a guarantor and also a driver without problems. The guarantor signs the contract and the driver an addendum to the contract so that he is enabled to drive, both must be present at the time of opening the rental contract.
With the plane ticket the car is like 70% less, almost all of them have that promotion
Ahhh
It is usually the cheapest
The Rental Card eata in the airport parking lot. You don't pay anything .... It's super easy and comfortable
It is assumed that you have a telephone in the key or in the glove compartment you have a paper brochure
Yes..debit or credit!!!
Hello, you have to go up from arrivals to the 2nd floor. There you go to the train that takes you to the Car Rental Center
If your card can be used internationally !! ??? Now that the bank will tell you
Call avis or ifu use the app it will show the charge up front
Yes it is free and i did only went on, it is a shuttle train. In the middle of night, after a few minutes it was there. Return late daytime, same thing
Lillian, You can go on the Avis site and use your confirmation/booking number to amend the booking dates or cancel the reservation. If you are an Avis member you can login and amend the booking as well.
Hello Fernando. There is a train that takes you directly to the central offices where all the car rental companies are. It has no loss.
I'm not Avis but I've used it
There is a monorail that connects the Rental Car Center with the airport. It's a 5-minute ride from there to ticketing.
If you have gps you should find the location of avis return in the. But, when you get to the airport it is well indicated. Remember that you have to leave it on the corresponding page (I think the second one). There is a person there who will pick up the keys and give you a receipt with the details. Tip: refueling a bit better on the outskirts of the airport so it's much more expensive nearby.
The rental pick up is actually right below them in the parking garage. You just take the elevator or stairs to first floor and pick up your rental
No need for deposit. They'll take your credit card and go from there.
