I had my baby girl on april 2022 and I just want to say how awesome everything was. The doctors, nurses and all staff are awesome. They made sure my baby and me were perfectly ok before discharging us. Also the food was delicious. The attention was a 10 out of 10!! Thank you a lot!!! If you're reading this, don't doubt to come here!!

The level of incompetence at North Shore Medical Center is alarming. If you have your loved one here, please I urge you to get them out. We "the community" rely of the medical professionals to have provide medical care, compassion and address the needs of any person that has to be hospitalized. What I observed the days my mother was there, just brought tears to my eyes for my mother and EVERYONE on her floor. We had to pay family friends to sit in the hospital to watch over my mother because we were so afraid of the disregard from the staff. I found a used needle on my mother's bed left there by a nurse, my mother "nurse call button" did not work and when reported it was dismiss as a non-emergency, I observed my mother's roommate sit is soil clothes after the family member even offered to do it herself and just requested the supplies. Oh, good luck if your love one is unable to feed themselves independently, the food will remain in the room un-touched. The nurse assistant never provided assistance. Environmental services allows the trash to overflow and remain for hours and allowing fowl orders to consume the room. I have pictures and witness notes. This can not continue. I gave one point only for medication.

My experience in labor & delivery was so terrible by getting treated horribly and discriminated only to ask my daughters nurse for help. Nurse Elisa was taking care of room 303. When she escalated in the room just for speaking Spanish to my daughter. I was trying to explain my daughter what she just had told me outside of the room and she was very rude. Nurse Elisa come angry inside of the room and she said “you can talk all you want about me” excuse me. She don’t need to discriminate anyone for speaking another language and she still did not let me finish telling her my daughter need help. It was my idea to choose labor&delivery North Shore since my daughter was born here I want my second granddaughter to born here. It’s sad as a parent come to a place of labor not knowing someone going to treat you so bad because she had a rough day I need to get treated unprofessional and disrespectful. No way

We had our 3rd child delivered here and in all honestly we had a much better experience than in our last hospital which was Hialeah Hospital. We encountered many nurses with pleasant personalities, although some stood out more than others regardless of their experience and in my opinion the nurse that deserves a mention is Cristina C. from the labor and delivery department. She was kind and helpful at all times and was truly genuine with her care towards my wife and my new born baby girl. This hospital needs more workers like Cristina, thank you from our family. Also Dr. Hechavarria needs no introduction as he has delivered 2 of our Children and he is an exceptional physician, highly recommended OBGYN
