We stayed at Hidden Pines for 1 week and had a very pleasant experience! We have a 41 ft Grand Design Momentum and had ample space for our 5 slides! To our surprise we saw deer nearly every day running through the park. But truly were amazed to see 30 or more elk cruising on the parks outskirts! Truly breathtaking! The park has a community fire pit(probably due to fire danger). It has very clean bathrooms, shower facilities, and laundry as well. Not an elegant 5 star resort, but quiet, local, and what a great central location to all of the lakes, trails, and other outdoor attractions. We floated the Deschuets River and saw Paulina Peak; all in very close proximity! We will be back! Thank you so much Hidden Pines.

EDIT: Please note that one of the reviewers - Kodiak - is the owner of this park, shilling for it. I've reported the review as spam and advertising. He's also responded to this review with nothing but lies: - We were not *asked* to leave, we left on our own because I don't pay liars and thieves. In fact, the confrontation he talks about (and I totally did say that - nobody was even close to being hurt, and he's a fool for trying to use that as a wedge in an argument) was because I told the hosts I was leaving, and he wanted to throw his non-inconsiderable weight around while he still could. - There isn't a stretch of driveway long enough to get up to 25 mph - again, this shows his lack of basic intelligence. - Most importantly, everyone can see that my point that the Bear Cub is more interested in being right than running a business. Choose with your wallets, folks. - Check out the Yelp reviews. You'll see that I'm not the only person with this opinion. - He has subsequently removed his comment - he is cowardly as well as aggressive. - It is my belief that he is paying for the positive reviews. They have no bearing on reality. The only other review here that seems legit is the guy who also gave it one star. It's a nice park, off the beaten path. I would recommend it for short stays to visit the Deschutes National Forest. The bathrooms are clean, and the people are pretty friendly. EDIT: after his response, I retract my recommendation for a weekend. There is a really great place just north of La Pine, Cascade Meadows Park, that would be a better staging area for the National Forest. However, if you're looking for a longer stay than a weekend, look elsewhere. The neighborhood is full of barking dogs, and screaming neighbors. Rules are enforced haphazardly, and randomly - one person had a barking dachshund outside all day every day, but our silent dog was not allowed to stay outside for some reason. The owner's dogs will be outside all day, every day, barking their fool heads off, but that's okay. And honestly, it's the owner that ruins the place. He's a hypocrite, as evidenced by the dogs, but he's also a thief. If you pay for a month, he expects new payment the day *before* you paid for the next month. My first month, I paid on the 8th. Next month, I was told to pay on the 7th. When I decided to leave, I was told I was paid up to the 6th, and had to be gone on the 7th. You'd have to be pants on head stupid to think that makes sense. The angry, obese, Under-Armor clad man will storm around the park with a bad attitude, and is extraordinarily confrontational. On multiple occasions, I watched as he harassed people driving through the park for whatever reason. When he started arguing with me about my wife's driving - making ridiculous accusations that she was speeding around children - it was clear that this was a man who cared more about being right than running a business. Luckily for us, we have the flexibility and finances to pick up and move when things get annoying, but I understand that for a lot of people, it's not easy to do that. So, take my warning, and find another park to stay long term at.

Looking for a cute, quiet and well maintained, family own park ? This is it. We are leaving tomorrow after a months stay and loved everything about it. They do have a large green grass area that is available to all its resident's and there are flowers all over the place which the owner replaces when the deer eat them. We preferred to walk our dog down the road as we very seldom saw any vehicles and it gave us the opportunity to meet some of the friendly neighbors. To the gentlemen who wrote the review stating that his 36 foot unit would not fit I say "hog wash". We were in the lot next to him and were surprised how rude he was to the manager....she was right all he had to do was to pull forward a few feet and his slides would have been fine. There are a couple of lots where their patio's face each other so if you don't want to be in that situation simply tell the manager when you make your reservation and I'm sure she will try to accommodate you. Personally we didn't mind our patio's facing someone else as we met a lot of nice people. All in all Hidden Pines is a great park. We appreciated it's cleanliness, friendliness, and its central location to many lakes, rivers and attractions.

First I understand different travelers have different expectations, but this has to be the worst park in Central Oregon. It is hard to imagine a more unfriendly, ugly, or uninviting park. I am greatly puzzled over some of the past reviews saying this is a nice park. I can only surmise that management has changed and this park is not what it once was. First this park has a website which contains a map and photos. The park is NOT like the on-line photos; including the photos on google too. These are old photos and do not represent what the park looks like now. The grass is all dead, there are no flowers, and items displayed in photos no longer exist. The park appears to not be maintained... So Do not be fooled! Specific problems are: 1- No staff at park. When you arrive you must call number posted and eventually a "manager" will arrive. No staff on duty to address issues. 2- Trashy appearance. 3- Spaces so narrow that they will not fit large double slide outs. 4- Very unfriendly staff and owner who refuses to resolve problems (read below for details.) 5- Unsecured credit card information! Your credit card number is written on post-it style note with your information and arrival date, and paper-clipped at desk for anyone to possibly take or see. (Office is locked when no one is there, but still a huge concern.) 6- Park is mostly full-time "greatly discounted" monthly guests. This park is NOT geared to weekend travelers. 7- SHARED space outside your RV door. Yes that is correct. You must share your table space with your neighbor (see photo) 8- No room to walk dog or grass area for dogs to do their "business". Again see photo. Even If you want the dead grass area, you must walk your dog directly next to someone else RV. 9- Park is located in LOW INCOME trashy residential area. As in run down single wide mobile home, and cars which do not run, next to park on other side of park fence. 10- also weird is that the only number posted near the phone is the "Sheriff Department" phone number to call when there are problems. (Like trouble is expect it seems... wow!) I strongly recommend holiday travelers to avoid this park. The State Park is just a few miles up the road. But if you need "budget minded" property with no supervision, then this is your place. ========================================= Personal experience at this park follows... Upon arrival I observed the trashy condition of this park and thought I would just stay one night and move on instead of the 4 days I had planned. They refused to alter reservation to fewer days and stated I would be charged anyway. However I soon discovered that the spaces were so narrow that it will not accommodate the double slide outs of my RV. I was assured that my 36' 5th wheel, would fit in the reserved space when I made reservations. I had to walk staff to RV and show them it would not fit. They said that it would fit even though trees clearly blocked the slid-outs. They said that it was okay that branches would rub against RV... but it was not acceptable to me. Central Oregon bark and pine needles rubbing against RV would scratch it. I was told that they would not refund my money. After an argument in which the owner refused to review the situation, the staff member agreed to do a partial refund of $52 out of the $122 total charge. I did not understand the logic of this amount as I could not stay there even if I wanted to (which I sure didn't at this point.) In conclusion, this is a horrible park and advise you to sleep along side the road before spending a night at this park..
