Went for my tags as a walk in and it was a fast visit! Front clerk at the check in point was knowledgeable and sweet!
Staying Hydrated
The lady who checks you in for appointment who stares at your title before giving you your number may not be trained properly or something. She could have saved lots of time by rejecting the title then. Instead let me sit and wait 30 minutes for the next lady to reject it. However her rejection is completely subjective. Her opinion was that the seller was too sloppy. But I thought it was legible and apparently the check in lady thought so too. The problem with government employees is the don't care . They get paid either way. So it doesn't matter to them. Sometimes you will encounter sloppy writers. Doesn't mean that I did anything wrong. She could have let it fly. But I get to waste more time my next appointment. Not surprised that public servants don't understand the servant part.

The only way to go to the Downtown location is if you have an appointment. At the Parton Settlement office you need an appointment too but you can go without one. However, I waited for hours to be called without it. Once you are called, it doesn't take long to get whatever you need.

If you have an original marriage certificate and your current ID, you should be able to get a new ID with that. But you should pull up the Osceola Tax Collector web site and it should give you all the info you need. And you need to make an appointment as well.
