The customer service at this gym was terrible and unacceptable. One of the managers there is very rude and condescending. Did not allow me to use my 3-day free trial even though I live 10 minutes away. Then proceeded to make fun of the fact I was switching from planet fitness to gold’s gym. How do you expect to get new customers if the management treats its clients with the utmost disrespect? Unacceptable.

This place used to be a great gym and exactly what the area needed but it has exploded with UMD college students who arrive in groups and hover/chat in groups. It’s become extremely overcrowded because of this and impossible to get a good workout in at any time of day at this point. Their ideal market/client must have changed because I’ve noticed the staff has switched over to college students.

It’s an alright gym, but it’s complete garbage for a solid leg day. There’s only 4 squat racks ( which two have deadlifting platforms and are always being used for deadlifting by someone) that are never available and legit have maybe 4 leg machines for your iso work. Need to invest into more equipment, for the size and amount of people who go to this gym I’m surprised they still haven’t.

Good gym. Reliable, even when busy there's plenty of space and machines to get a good workout in. The showers, locker room, and sauna are always clean. Staff is nice and welcoming. My only qualm is the excessive salesmanship when first signing up. Please know your audience and don't over sale to people who are just there for a workout (personal opinion). I wish there was a pool.
