Dr K is the best doctor I've ever had. That said the whole place needs to be revamped. I've had prescriptions for anti-depressions not called in, held up for trivial reasons, etc. This has led to awful withdrawals numerous times. Their procedures need to be redone. There is in general an indifference to Patient suffering on the part of many of the staff members in my experience over the years. While I understand that a large percentage of their patients are substance abuse users and so that may be a difficult population to deal with, not all of their patients such as myself for instance are substance abuse users and have genuine mental health issues. More sensitivity is needed amongst the staff. Dr K is the only reason I come back. UPDATE: SINCE THEY CLOSED THE WINTERVILLE CLINIC THIS PLACE IS HORRENDOUS. I've been waiting literally months for some help with nothing. I was finally given an appointment to reapply as a patient since they canceled me as a patient when I had covid and missed an appointment over the phone. I met with the counselor but could not see the doctor for another 2 to 3 weeks. Showed up for my appointment at 8:00 a.m. this morning only to be told that it's being rescheduled. Another 2 weeks. Completely unacceptable. And they wonder why we have a mental health crisis in the country. You simply cannot get help here in a timely manner or in an efficient manner and a complete disregard for my time. No phone call no text telling me the appointmentment was canceled. Nothing. Basically obscene that they provide care like this.

Today would’ve made my two year mark of therapy something I was very proud of. Had my reevaluation scheduled for today and got an call that it would need to be rescheduled with her because my therapist wasn’t in the clinic today. Then was proceeded that I would have to be switched to a new therapist because mine was leaving for good actually. I wasn’t informed beforehand that she was leaving, when asked when the next available therapist will be the receptionist who was highly rude btw informed me that it’ll be June 29th…it’s April 4th. So not only has my therapist left without noticed I wouldn’t be seen until 3 months later by someone I don’t know. Now if I was suicidal still this could’ve been my breaking point. Receptionist had no empathy and this isn’t the first time they’ve been stank and rude. You’re dealing with mental health patients and this how you treat them? DO NOT GO HERE!!!

They won't answer the phone, and reviews are horrible. I don't expect I would get much help here. But they could prove me wring if the wanted.

I’m grateful for port I have not had any problems or issues with the office or staff I love my Dr. very kind understanding person, they try to match us with a therapist that’s to your liking and understands your lifestyle. There is one thing I ran into at port! Her name is Angela Hollis !!!! She’s a patient there but also she’s a paid informant for the narcotics detectives in Greenville, what she does is act like your friend find out what medicine you take, try to get you to engage in illegal activities involving your medicine and then she sets you up and turns you in to her detectives and she gets paid! She should not be allowed to do this to people! I don’t know if they are aware that she’s using the office as a place to find people that she can do this to? Otherwise I love port it’s great for anyone serous about recovery they wil help you anyway they can all you have to do is ask and be honest.

Port prescribes & monitor Suboxone while the Ames Methodone Clinic, which is a different building around the corner from Port handles & monitors the Methadone. You can however get referred from Port to the Meth Clinic depending on your situation.
