Great experience with Tiny House Basics. Built a perfect trailer for our needs! Kind and professional folks, good honest direct communication throughout the process. Highly recommend! Also, must add that this fabulous husband and wife team is kind, fun, and whip smart. They went above and beyond, and even joined us in our launch party celebrating the completion our 'tiny home/ mobile stage' as well as the first public performance we staged aboard the traveling theatre wagon. Great people. And excellent work, solid craftsmanship.

While I didn't end up making a purchase with Tiny House Basics (just because another trailer ended up working better for my situation), I did get a quote for a tiny house trailer. I also emailed with Joshua a number of times, and he was super helpful when it came to responding quickly and answering all of my questions about the tiny house trailer that I was thinking about purchasing. I had a great experience working with this company!

Not only is our trailer AMAZING but Joshua and Shelley are almost even better! Working with them to design the foundation to our tiny house was such a smooth and great experience! They are around for any questions you have and as tiny house owners themselves, they have so much insight and advice for the lifestyle, which was always so nice and beautiful of them to share with us. We got a custom trailer made and we are absolutely in love with it! Thank you Tiny House Basics for helping turn our dream into a reality!

I am so glad we went with Tiny House Basics for our tiny house trailer. They were very informative and all around genuine people. It really helps that they live in a tiny house themselves. They provide invaluable information so you can be sure you're choosing the right trailer for your needs. I am especially happy that they offer flush crossmembers and drop axles. (I didn't know this was an option before finding them) This saved us so much headroom and now that our build is coming together I am so thankful for that extra space! I included some photos of our trailer and build.

Questions & Answers

hello, my name is Shira Sadeh and I am a high school student looking to design a tiny house for future building ideas. I was wondering if there are any dimensional boundaries such as the width of the walls or something like that.? -Shira

for our standard trailers (under 8ft 6in) wide, many of our customers choose to have the decks of the trailers set at 98" in Width, this allows siding and trim and to be under the 8ft 6in width to not have permits when you travel or move your tiny house. if you choose a oversized deck like one of our 10ft wide Tiny House Trailers you will need a wide load permit which runs about $14-$30 depending on the state whenever you move it. the width of the walls are 3.5" with standard 2x4 framing then you will add the thickness of the siding and trim you choose plus the interior wall material to determine a total width of the walls for your tiny house.

how much are they?
