Parking is $6 cash only, this is the parking lot for Diablo State Park. Lots of trails with something for bikes, hikers, horse trails. Amazing views but it does get really hot in the daytime. Park closes at sunset

Nice spot to get info before hiking back side of Mt. Diablo. I hiked the Back Canyon trail that winds up through the Back Creek trail to the Donner Fire Road. Lots of nice views!

Good half a day hike and picnic point for your casual one day trip. Ensure if you are packing to go to summit, to can pay there itself. Otherwise you can pay at the entrance and hike to the summit which is roughly 7-8 miles.
