I really enjoyed being able to visit the Care & Share Thift Shoppes (and there are multiple stores, furniture, clothing, books, housewares and an outlet) today and was very impressed by the quality and price. I did make several purchases. However, the one HUGE issue is that there is not one restroom that you can use. You are told that you have to leave the store, get in your car, drive over to either Giant or WaWa and use the restroom there and then come back. This is absolutely ridiculous especially since the COVID excuse was used. Not requiring masks but you can not use a restroom, "Due to COVID". I was experiencing a minor medical issue and needed a restroom and not one employee cared even though it was very obvious that I was in distress. Not to mention the amount of elderly shoppers and parents with small children that were shopping and had no access to a restroom if they would have an immediate issue. Wondering if the word Care should be removed from the shop name. Would I recommend this Thrift store, yes, huge selection and great prices, just make sure you go to the restroom before you go and definitely don't have a sudden issue when you are there.

They discriminate, if you are not white be prepared to stay there waiting to pay for your stuff and pray that a white person comes and needs to pay because that's the only time this stupid guy will come to the register. Very disappointing. I will never go back to this place again.

As I've noticed when shopping in several thrift stores recently, prices on the whole have increased. C & S is included in this group. I did find several items that I did purchase, but left even more on the shelves. As always, workers were quite pleasant. I just wish I could have brought home a few more.

These shoppes care nothing about the consumer, they all care about reselling the products that are donated by the caring people of the area. Avoid going to the Outlet because both the manager and one of the main staff members shop in the back and take items away from people who wish to by them. It’s sad to see what has happened to this nice thrift shop all because of the gluttony of some people!

I think the issue for long time Care And Share customers is not that "things are so expensive" but rather that things are significantly MORE expensive than they used to be. The reason for that is that taxes on their building are higher, utilities for those buildings are higher. People need to be paid to upkeep the buildings, plow the parking lot, fix the pavement, replace lights and haul dumpsters full of unusable donations away. (Remember that moth eaten sweater you donated? Or the old table who's leg was chewed up by your dog? Or the wine-stained tablecloth you couldn't get clean but thought maybe "some poor person" wouldn't mind it. Or that comfy recliner that reeked of cat urine? Well, guess what? Care & Share had to pay someone to trash that so called generous donation.) There is no cigar chomping CEO of the Mennonite Mission Committee hiding huge profits in some off-shore bank. However, there are many far away communities very grateful for clean water and food!
I agree they are on the pricier side but they also have their monthly half off everything day to kind of make up for it. I believe it is the third friday of the month and all day.
Most items are sold in the Care and Share stores. Some surplus is sent to a Mennonite Central Committee distribution center to be sold in other MCC stores in the area!
Yes. There are a number of thrift stores at Care & Share. One of them sells by the pound.
Yes

Yes
Yes, you must wear mask. The bathrooms are closed but the fitting rooms are open.
Probably more recent than vintage but it really depends on what is donated.
Yeah they will
Do not it is a donation and they give donation receipt for tax deduction
The 3rd Friday of the month. 50% discount
I don't think they would turn down a donation. They have a huge bookstore section that I am sure includes bibles.
Yes, in the Variety store
Yes
We accept artificial trees that are not the individual branch type.
Donation Dock ls are open same hours as the Shoppes: Mon - Wed, 9a - 5p; Thu - Fri, 9a - 8p; Sat, 9a - 5p; Sun, closed.
They do have pick up for large items, call them to discuss
You can make an appointment and they will help.
They pick up if you call first
I always see the handheld car vacuums there
They accept most anything in good order that can be sold.
