Freewheel is an excellent brewery and pub. The brews are creative and innovative, the food is fresh and delicious, and staff is super friendly and helpful. You won’t be disappointed!! My girlfriend and I visited Freewheel all the way from Manhattan, NYC.

Fantastic friendly little brewpub specializing in English-style cask beers. The food has always been good too, my favorites are the buffalo chicken sandwich and the pulled pork. The cask beers are relatively modest in their alcohol and carbonation levels, but quite tasty... which makes them totally slamable (sessionable). Big-V Amber, Wenlock Stout, and their Brewster's Pale Ale are my favorites, all malt-driven and just silky smooth out of the cask. Shared outdoor seating is a plus, and they routinely have live music and even comedians sometimes, despite being kind of small and cozy. Love this place, and love their contribution to the thriving local beer scene. Update after two years of fun: Everything still rocks about this place, but one thing I forgot to mention... they sell sixth kegs of most of their excellent beers, for those of us with kegerators. Yes, local top notch quality microbrew kegs for home. Only brewery around that I found would sell me a keg. Got me through the shutdown! Back again, live rock music out front, they're still crushing it here.

Nice little place. Dbl IPA was surprisingly good. Fish and Chips were perfect.

Great casual spot for dinner and beer on the patio, with live music (on a Fri night, at least). They also serve wine and hard cider, for those not inclined towards beer. Family-friendly, vegetarian options, accessible, no reservations needed. Limited indoor seating for the time being, mostly outside in a patio seating arrangement shared with the Mexican place nextdoor. There's shade during the day, and heaters for the evening.

They can several, but not all, of their brews. I have seen them available at K&L Wine Merchants in Redwood City, and some other local stores on the peninsula. The brewpub also sells crowlers on premises.
Hello- We strictly adhere to all the current guidelines including mask requirement for staff and customer entry, social distancing, and increased sanitation efforts. Cheers!
Hi Creston- Thank you for the question. We do typically fill Growlers, but have suspended this due to the pandemic. However, we have started pre-filling an extensive amount of Crowlers for the time being. Cheers!
Yes. And cider too!

16-20 oz depending on the style. Jk Each beer is priced different but ranges from $6-$9 depending on whose beer they are serving. They frequently feature small batch local artists.
Yes! You can leave your bike right out front. There is one small bike rack. Cheers!
