My parents have only been in Kensington Place for about a month and already I've noticed a distinct difference in their overall wellbeing. My dad is more compliant and calm, my mom feels spoiled and is noticeably healthier. I looked at a lot of facilities as we made this difficult decision. This place is a great fit for my parents. The staff all know my parent's names, their likes and dislikes and treat them with dignity. When they need a helping hand, someone is there within mere moments to assist them. I'm so grateful for this environment for my parents.

I have been a consultant for a variety of Senior residential facilities for years. Hands down, Kensington Place Redwood City is a home of its own fir those loved ones requiring memory care. I feel from the moment I walk through the beautiful double doors that I am entering into someone’s private home. The quality of care and love for the residents is what I would want for my parents. The food is delicious and plentiful. I work with staff members and families using Creative Journal Expressive Arts method to help them cope with their stressors in order for them to offer their best to the residents.

Kensington Place provides incredibly AMAZING Care for their residents. The Staff are totally involved in making sure their residents have their needs met and have the best quality of life & care. They are continually working to bring in new activities for their residents and new ideas to keep the residents happy and engaged. The Executive Staff @ Kensington provide their Staff with continuing education to better understand, help & care for residents with their memory loss issues. Kensington Place Redwood City is the BEST Memory Care Community in the entire Bay Area.

My best friend Gloria started expereincing dementia, and I did not know what to do. Kensington Place opened up around 5 minutes from my home in Redwood City, and I went in for a visit. This place is amazing! We placed my friend there shortly after that, and I am there several days a week to visit. I love going there, it has such a feeling of peace, the food is amazing (pictured below), and the activities are unending! The happy hour is one of my favorite times of day, where there is live music and dancing every day. I hope that when it comes time for me to not live on my own, I could specify Kensington Place for me. The staff look the residents in the eyes, treat them with respect and their care is thorough and kind, even when the resident is confused about what may be happening. They have endless patience and have so much to give to the residents and their families. The photo below is of my friend at their annual luau held in August last year. They have festive decorations and fun food, and always entertainment - the hula dancers were delightful! At Kensington Place, they celebrate just about everything, but mostly, they celebrate life. I am grateful for Kensington Place.
