I have been a patient here for one month and a half on the rehab floor. I am very impressed with the great customer service and Nurses aid and CNA. They are all wonderful helpful and happy, better than the hospital. The staff is the most important thing in a nursing home. I have witnessed the excellent care of the elderly and I am the youngest patient. They are so very nice to everyone. The facility is new and very clean and modern. The only problem which is a big one is the food! I believe it is from another company but is so terrible sometimes I cannot eat it and my boyfriend has to bring me food everyday. This facility could be the BEST in NYS if the food was better. I need nourishment to heal and get better. I have spoke with different patients here who say the same thing and the dietitian says the food is good but not like home. ( I was surprised about her answer) I am not a picky person and I can eat anything but the food is horrible. I spoke with business office manager Ed and I explained my concern and he said he was going to resolve this big issue but still nothing is done. I wish my voice is heard as the voice of the elderly here who cannot speak for themselves about the food. I hear the owner of this facility is the same owner of Bridge water and Absolute Nursing Home and I hope after they read my review they will come and talk to me so I can explain myself. Maybe they can try the food themselves so they can see how bad it is. I am very thankful to all the nurse aide especially a fabulous nurse aide Mindy who every time she comes she makes my day. She is a hard worker and always helpful to me. Also thank you to nurse aide Lacey who works a lot of hours but is still always happy. A thank you to nurse Heather who is always very caring concerned and helpful. Another nurse Daniel who is always caring and happy. Thank you to the head of the nurses Miss Laura who listens to my complaints and solves my problems and is very busy and is the best captain of the ship. If the owner contacts me I will post updates to food nightmare!! Regarding my Physical Therapy I want to add I am very grateful for my therapist’s Jillian and Te who have helped me to regain my independence and my ability to walk. Because of their professional motivation and patience I am getting better everyday and closer to returning home. I give these girls a 5 star review and think the deserve a raise in their salary. UPDATE: 20 mins after my review suddenly the director of food Bill came to my room to address my concerns. He said “I can not promise you anything but I will do my best” and he frantically wrote down all my complaints.

My step dad was here for a few weeks before he passed. He was very ill and wasn’t doing well. It was impossible for my mother to get any updates on him. No one calls back. They refused to allow him his favorite foods. When he finally started coughing up blood, my mom had to insist he be sent to the hospital. On arrival we found a large/deep pressure ulcer on his back. The staff called while he was on his death bed to see if they could give his bed away. Heartless, completely heartless. He was treated like he was dumped there to be disposed of which was not the case. One star is generous.
