Fun place for the kids (and Mom) to cool down on a hot day! Very clean, refreshing and well taken care of. So grateful that Braintree has this for their resident's

Website should have said it was for residents only! I drove 35 minutes with 3 kids to be turned away. And there was at most 3 kids using the splash pad. And the person at the entrance was rude.

It says open on google but when you go there, there’s a big fence closed saying construction. They won’t let kids play in here for the summer.

They haven't turned the splash on yet. FYI There's a huge construction going on right next to the park, a lot of dust when windy. Very uncomfortable to stay here for now. Hopefully they'll be done by summer. Reviewed on May 16th 2022

They have a new rule now, you have to be a resident or come with someone who is a resident.
Absolutely free and worth at least double that. First time i saw pictures i was sure there must be fee to enter.
The park is opened (playground) but not the Water spray park.
Yes for Braintree residents only. Not sure of the open time but they close at 6pm and must being ID for proof of residency

Water never came on..kids were disappointed...but feeding ducks was nice
No the splash pad is not open. It is supposed to open on July 3rd
At this time it is not open. I don't know if there are plans to open for the season.
June
10 - 6 every day
From the Braintree rec website- Peterson splash pad at Watson Park: The splash pad will operate on a regular daily schedule, 10:00am to 6:00pm, beginning Saturday June 15th through labor day, Monday, September 2nd.
Don't think so.. there aren't any public grills and I've never seen anyone else doing it.
It usually opens on weekends starting Memorial Day weekend I think.
Blankets, lawn chairs, coolers whatever you want! I recommend a beach umbrella or beach shelter if you plan to be there for a long time. When it's busy, the shady spots are few and far between!
Not sure what time the water gets shut off. Parks in Braintree are usually 8:00am till dark. Exceptions for the splash pad maybe made based on temperature.
Opens after memorial day. Starting now open everyday from 9am-6pm
