As always, had great time here at holter lake. Stayed at the No.3 site, I considered the best spot in the campground with overlook of the lake. Will come back again

We love camping at this Holter Campground. The grounds are so well kept and the restrooms are so clean. It's a great place to bring out grandkids. We'll do it again.

17 site campground on the Missouri River just below Holter Dam. 10.00 per night. 1/2 price for senior pass and federal access pass holders. Boat Launch, Pit toilets, tables, fire pits and water hydrants. Potable water but no place to fill RV water tanks so one less star. Clean. Deer, big horn sheep, snakes and lots of birds. Lots of fishermen on the water.

Along with a couple killer whales.
Contacted BLM in Butte several years ago their main reason for not online reservations was POOR internet service, I'm thinking that was an excuse. BLM Montana website has been down for a long time to contact them, don't beleive me check it out for yourself!
Been happening like that for years, no one seems to care, unfortunately. I've driven over 200 miles several times only to not get a campsite there on a weekday, not fair at all! Ended up on the asphalt camping. So the answer is No, but Yes I guess!! Not enforced the last time I was there or ever.
No hookups have water faucets around the grounds. Its first come first pick
No
Just find a spot. There are envelopes somewhere near the entrance to the parking lot
It's not open all year and I believe it closes at the end of October
No limits. They have the right size for tents all yhe way to a 36 foot unit. And most spots are, "Pull through" so there isn't a hassle of backing up. The turns are wide enough for a 36. Their grounds are groomed very well so you don't have to worry about taking the side of your unit with a tree. Leveling up is easy too! Holter is one of our favorites!🇺🇸
$15 per night per "unit". $5 per day for vehicle pass. www.blm.gov/visit/holter-lake-recreation-site
No, there aren't. Nice clean restrooms (pit toilets), but no showers. It's a BLM campground.
I don't know that there is a public venue. Maybe at one of the campgrounds?
No, there should be, very busy place, tough to get campsite unless you come on a Sunday.
