loved hiking here when we lived in boulder now any chance we get to go hiking here we always make time to go on a trail whether its short or long hike. for anyone not experienced with this area don't get discouraged the first part does suck but the rest of it is amazing and worth going. push through the first little stint that looks like a road once you get to actual trails you wont regret it. hopefully all the trails are open next trip up. as we really wanted to go to the arch.

Gorgeous place for a hike! Or just to kick back, relax and be close to nature. And, of course snap some incredible pictures. Absolutely, a don't miss while visiting the area. Parking seems to be a little bit of a challenge, but definitely worth it.

One of my favorite hikes in Colorado! There are several trails to choose from and for all levels of experience. There are also some very leisurely walks with a view that don't involve any hiking.

I LOVE CHAUTAUQUA PARK!!! I come to Chautauqua park a few times a month to either meet friends in the park or hike-it’s truly is a gorgeous place, and it always puts me in a good mood close to nature. I believe the statistic says that Chautauqua park is frequented more often than The Rocky Mountain National Park (which is about 40 min from Chautauqua in Estes). But if you are visiting the Boulder/Denver area, you should visit both, as they are both breathtaking and overall amazing places. Chautauqua is perfect for a family adventure, with friends, pretty much it’s perfect for any person who loves nature, mountains, and a great view! Sometimes I just grab a coffee and hike up the first part of the Chautauqua main trail. It can be pretty busy on weekends and holidays, so beware. The parking is good though, you just might have to walk a bit to get to the entrance if it’s a weekend-and most parking spaces nearby do make you pay. I also often bring my Alaskan Malamute, as it’s a dog-friendly trail, and she loves it! You won’t regret visiting this spectacular Boulder landmark, the flat irons are truly a sight to see and worth the trip!

I used a propane stove in the city park Just across the street ... Has benches ... Across the street from the ranger station with a museum and bathrooms ... All wheelchair accessible ...
Yes, they have designated spots I believe. The earlier in the day you get there the easier it is to park. If all else fails, you can drop off your group and park in the neighborhood.
No, paid parking starts from memorial day
Very little because its in the 50s this week again
On weekends you can park in a parking garage in Boulder for free and ride the shuttle to the park for free too.
Trails are open year round unless there is something very unusual going on.
Always fairly busy. If you are averse to crowds and parking "fun", Chautauqua may not be for you. But the accessible hikes from there are pretty. Another option is NCAR. Still lots of people on the trail but parking is easier.
Sorry we didn't stay at the cabins. We wanted to but this wasn't a plan vacation. We just loaded up the car and about 11.5 hrs later we were there beautiful place to visit we will be coming back
Id love to see them. So interesting.
A fantastic place for a wedding ceremony. Reserve the dining hall: https://www.chautauqua.com/dining-hall/overview/ And Check with open space for outdoor permit: https://www.bouldercounty.org/open-space/activities/permits/
Definitely the roads that run North to South that end at Baseline road and go down towards downtown direction. Those streets are all free Monday thru Friday
You would need to call the office that rents the cabins out
