We've really enjoyed calling this place home for the last 3 months. Easy enough commute to DC. The DASH bus is FREE and one stop to Pentagon Metro. Neighbors are pleasant in the elevators and lobby. The upgraded unit that we live in is well equipped and a good value. I personally enjoy the amenities and views of the DMV. Yes...every once in awhile there's a post on the neighbor/community board that has me smdh. Sometimes an occasional resident will have a clear disregard for others and a fellow neighbor or Grady MGMT have to step in (eg. clean up after your dog, stop parking in two spots at once, put your trash in the chute, don't leave your kids unattended in communal areas...you know common sense sh*t that neighbors should oblige their own neighbors). Kind of feel bad that Grady MGMT and some neighbors have to spend their time reminding others to be respectful of other residents but I appreciate them holding everyone accountable.

I have been living here the past 10 months and it has been a great experience. We are moving out of The Alexander, only due to lack of space (I cook a lot.) Otherwise, its perfect and a beautiful apartment. The maintenance team is THE BEST; sweetest team who is so friendly and good at their jobs. Only complaint/downfall is that due to Covid, it is hard to talk to the leasing agents in person. Communication is via email, but sometimes in person is easier and more effective. So at times, it's hard getting ahold of them. But its a great place and we've been happy.

The Alexander Apartments opened new during July 2007. I moved into a one bedroom apartment during September, 2007. Six months later, within the building, I moved to a two bedroom apartment. I have remained in the same two bedroom apartment since 2008, and has been very, pleased and satisfied with the owners, leasing office personnel, maintenance, location, accommodations, life style and parking...The Alexander Apartments have been a wonderful home, with lovely apartments, modern interior styling and a handsome exterior styling...I am a very, very pleased long-time tenant. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

I’ve lived in Alexandria most of my life and I can say this is by far the best apartment complex in the 703 area code. Friendly, clean, diverse living environment. Rent is more than reasonable. Everything you can ever ask for! I’ve been here a year now and have no complaints at all.
