The worst leasing office I have ever seen, if I could I would not give even one star.

Horrible customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could give 0 star. Don’t move here. Their customer service is terrible. We visited an apartment and then decided to move in. I filled an application and gave them the hr guy’s phone number to verify my income. The girl at the desk rejected my application since she was unable to do her job correctly. She sent me an email stating that your employment has not been verified. I replied her asking for her number to speak over the phone and she never replied. I called the hr team and they told me that “we have verified your employment.” Next day, I went to the leasing office and called to the hr team in front of her to find out who is lying. The hr guy said the same thing again and she heard that. After hanging up, she confessed that: yes, they have verified your employment but I needed more information and could not contact the hr manager!!!!! What the hell???? You already said my employment had not been verified and now you are saying something different????? Then she said that my income is not sufficient to rent the home. I said ok, I can add another source of income and apply again and she said no. You have already been denied and can no longer apply for that apartment. I know another guy seeking to rent a unit from them and I changed his mind. Now you can imagine what is waiting for you if you rent their units.

I consider myself to be a very rational person as I understand the demands of property managers/personnel and the downsides of apartment living however I’m extremely disappointed with Contempo Nova. The hallway carpets in the Shillings building are filthy & have a horrible odor. They clearly need to be replaced. Despite being charged monthly for pest control, I constantly see roaches in the hallways. The gym in the Shillings building has a faulty treadmill and an elliptical that hasn’t worked in months. The property recently changed the parking policy which makes it impossible to have guests visit you. You have to constantly monitor your Pango parking app to reset it every 24 hours as it stops automatically. There are no options for visitor parking permits or visitor parking. There are junk cars and garbage in the garage. The garage gates break often yet the property doesn’t allow you to use alternate parking or they’ll have your vehicle towed. Despite paying $60 monthly for parking per vehicle. Maintenance takes their precious time and it usually takes multiple attempts to get your issue(s) resolved. Several of the apartments here are leased to a third party vendor who provides housing to individuals who need care takers so there are an abundance of aids in and out of the buildings. The care takers use the lobby for their breaks/lunches, smoke on the property, and have loud inappropriate conversations. The personnel has coordinated several social gatherings recently for the residents which seem to be for photo ops on Instagram/Social Media. There is literally no way a company can truly care about their residents when the rent has increased drastically for most residents but the leasing office hours have been reduced. The office even closes randomly for the entire day and there are no noticeable improvements being made to the property. I would recommend taking your hard earned money and spending it elsewhere.

Wish I could leave a 0 stars - elevators are always broken and I just realized residents say the certificates aren’t up to date . Make sense why they don’t have a certificate posted in the elevator. -management is horrible especially Lisa. - I’ve seen like 5 dead mice around the property. I’m breaking my lease for sure
