Our family has had a wonderful experience with Heritage Woods. Dad has been on the dementia unit for a couple years and has received great care. He is safe on the unit and all his needs are met. My mother is on a different unit and loves it there. She is able to visit Dad on his unit each day and it has enhanced both of their lives. The staff are caring and responsive. We are thrilled with the professionalism and caring of the staff. We are impressed with how the program has managed to run well during all the Covid scares.

I am very pleased with the friendly, professional staff as well as the cleanliness of Heritage Woods. Every department has impressed me....maintenance was a huge help when my mom moved in; the activities staff is fun and wonderful and is always thinking of new activities that the residents would appreciate. And what I value most about the activities staff (which was so different than that of my mom's former facility) is that the staff will go seek out my mom for the things that she is interested in (if she forgets to go on her own). The nurses and CNA's have been on the ball noticing things to help assist my mother, especially being mindful of changes in medication. As someone who works full time, I find it is a huge help that OT and PT make on-site visits and that I do not have to take time off of work to take my mother to appointments. The Director of Food Services has worked with us from the beginning to help my mom's transition to a new living environment. On my mom's first day, I met the lady in charge of the laundry and she welcomed me and explained how every thing works from that perspective (and eased my concerns about measures that are taken to keep the residents safe during Covid). I feel extremely fortunate that there is a great place for my mom and that it is easy to get to.

The staff is very professional. If there is a major health issue, emergency personnel are called immediately. A minor issue is handled by staff more than adequately with compassion. The facility is always sparkling clean. What is so very much appreciated is the communication between staff and family members. We always know of anything that happens at Heritage Wood in real time. Through the entire Covid nightmare we received daily(sometimes multiple times/day) updates. Very comforting for family members of residents. 5 stars on a scale if 0-5.

My mother has been living happily at Heritage woods for several years, first in an independent assisted living area and then in the memory care unit. She has received excellent support and care the entire time. I feel lucky that she is living at Heritage Woods and I recommend it without reservation. Somehow the work and living environment is incredibly positive and kind.
