It took 4 months to get service. The 5 year old-$2500 refrigerator was 2 months past warranty coverage. If the issue was the compressor failure it would have been under warranty. But the tech said the issue was that the condenser failed causing the compressor not to work properly so he repaired both. I had purchased the extended warranty through Cinch Home Services so it ended up costing $670 for the repair plus the $50 monthly fee that I've been paying for the last 5 months. Once the repairman left I checked the refrigerator to see if it was cooling. It was cooling but the the features on the chill drawer no longer work and I was told that I would need to request another service call. I've spent more than 2 hours making phone calls and sending emails to Sears to get a runaround between Sears Home Services and Cinch Home Services. I'm totally disgusted with the whole process and I've given up. BTW-My Kenmore Elite Refrigerator has LG parts. The repairman was sent from Massachusetts to Northern Maine. Where is the consumer protection in this process???
