Landlords beware!!! I am in the process of evicting a tenant that came to me from Home Start for non payment of rent. This is her second eviction in less than twelve months for the same thing. Home Start will gladly give you a check for first, last and security if you can provide one of their clients with housing. After that, you're on your own if things go wrong. Home Start is only responsible for placing them in your apartment. If that tenant quits his or her job and has no money to pay rent, that's your problem, not theirs. They're not responsible for getting them out once you have allowed them in.

Can be instrumental in helping people but you have to be prepared to do some footwork on your own or go to a shelter if you're looking for housing this is due in part to but government changing the rules and regulations
